Breeders’ Cup Classic hero Accelerate will start his stud career on a fee of $US20,000 at Lane’s End Farm in Kentucky.
The 2019 fees for Accelrate (Lookin At Lucky x Issues, by Awesome Again), Breeders’ Cup Dirt Mile winner City Of Light (Quality Road xParis Notion, by Dehere) and 3YO champion West Coast (Flatter x Caressing, by Honour and Glory) have been announced by Lane’s End Farm on November 7.
Accelerate, a five time G1 winner whp cost $380,000 as a yearling at Keeneland, will retire to Lane’s End after he contests the GI Pegasus World Cup in January.His record stands at 22-10-5-5 for earnings of $5,792,480 and is favoured to claim US Horse of the Year honours.
Triple G1 winner City Of Light will command a higher fee of $35,000.Trained by Mike McCarthy the $710,000 Keeneland yearlings has won $1,662,600 in earnings from a 10-5-4-1 record.
Bob Baffert’s champion 3-year-old colt West Coast will also stand for $35,000 in his first season.The son of champion 2-year-old filly Caressing (Honour and Glory) was a $425,000 Keeneland yearling and won the GI Travers Stakes, G1 Pennsylvania Derby as a 3YO in 2017 and was runner-up in the GI Pegasus World Cup, GI Dubai World Cup and the GI Awesome Again this year.
His record stands at 13-6-5-1 and $5,803,800 in earnings.
