Tweenhills Stud Announces Zoustar UK Fee

3 minute read

Boom Australian sire Zoustar will start his UK stud career on a fee of £25,000 in 2019.

Australia's champion first-season sire in 2017-18 and represented by the first three home in the G1 Coolmore Stud Stakes at Flemington on November 3 will shuttle for the first time from Widden Stud to Qatar Racing’s Tweenhills Stud

The son of Northern Meteor is expected to be keenly sought by UK breeders according to David Redvers, manager of Qatar Racing.

"Zoustar is recognised as one of the most exciting young stallions in the world and with a limited book and a strong syndicate supporting the horse breeders will need to move very fast if they wish to secure a nomination,” said Redvers.

Zoustar will join Roaring Lion, crowned the Cartier Horse of the Year earlier this week, at Tweenhills Stud.

The four-time Group 1 winner has been introduced at £40,000, the highest fee for any new stallion in Britain and Ireland in 2019 to date.

Fellow Group 1 winner Lightning Spear (Pivotal) is another new name on the Tweenhills Stud roster and will stand for £8,000.

Windsor Park Stud shuttler Charm Spirit (Invincible Spirit), who alternates between Tweenhills and France's Haras de Bonneval in the northern hemisphere, will stand for £17,500 while Havana Gold (Teofilo) remains at £15,000.
