Shadai Announces 2019 Fees

3 minute read

Japan’s Shadai Stallion Station has announced its 2019 roster with Deep Impact and Lord Kanaloa heading the list.

Deep Impact remains the world’s most expensive advertised sire for a second season at a fee of 40 million yen ($US350,000).

The second-highest at Shadai is Lord Kanaloa, the world’s leading second season sire.

Lord Kanaloa’s fee has almost doubled from 8 million to 15 million yen ($US130,000) after his brilliant daughter Almond Eye landed this year’s Japanese Fillies’ Triple Crown and the Japan Cup.

Deep Impact’s exciting son Real Steel and the dual Dubai Golden Shaheen winner Mind Your Biscuits also join the roster.

Real Steel, the 2016 Dubai Turf winner, and Mind Your Biscuits will be offered to breeders for 2 million yen($US17,000).

Arrowfield Stud shuttler Maurice will stand for a fee of 4 million yen.
