Karaka Select Sale graduate Beauty Generation continues to build on his reputation as one of Hong Kong’s all-time great milers after adding Sunday’s G1 Stewards’ Cup at Sha Tin to his record.
The multiple G1 winner and Hong Kong Horse of the Year last season is unbeaten in five starts in 2018-19, all at stakes level.
Sunday was his first start since he successfully defended his G1 Hong Kong Mile title with a three-length romp in December. The Stewards’ Cup produced a victory by the same margin.Beauty Generation (Road To Rock x Stylish Bel by Bel Esprit) is now the winner of 14 of his 27 starts, along with another seven placings.
He has earned more than $HK66.3 million, which is the equivalent of $NZ12.56 million – more than 208 times his purchase price.Beauty Generation, bred Nearco Stud and offered by Highden Park, was purchased by Waikato-based Hermes Syndications for $NZ60,000 at the 2014 Karaka Select Sale.
Carlaw Park will offer a Tavistock half-sister to Beauty Generation in Book 1 of Karaka 2019.
