The 5YO gelding Dream Castle became the sixth G1 winner by former champion Frankel when he recorded his third consecutive victory at Meydan in his final lead-up to the G1 Dubai Turf on World Cup night on March 30.

The Saeed bin Suroor-trained Dream Castle (Frankel x Sand Vixen by Dubawi) had won G2 and G3 races during the current carnival and led home a clean sweep of the placings for Godolphin beating Wootton (Wootton Bassett) and First Contact (Dark Angel).

The other Godolphin winners on the program were the 3YO filly Divine Image (Scat Daddy in the Listed Al Bastakiya; KIng's Stand Stakes winner Blue Point (Shamardal) in the G3 Nad Al Sheba Turf Sprint; and Old Persian (Dubawi) in the G2 Dubai City Of Gold.

Blue Point is a firm favourite to win the G1 Al Quoz Sprint on March 30 while Old Persian enhanced his chances for the G2 Dubai Gold Cup over 3200 metres.

Blue Point (Shamardal x Scarlett Rose by Royal Applause) has won the Nad Al Sheba Turf Sprint by three lengths and G2 Meydan Sprint by five lengths at his last two starts in Dubai, taking his record to eight win in 17 starts.

The G1 Al Maktoum Challenge Round 3 went to Capezzano (Bernardini) in an upset over last year’s Dubai World Cup winner Thunder Snow (Helmet) and the Korean star Dolkong (Afleet Alex).

Thunder Snow was having his first start since finishing third in last year’s Breeders’ Cup Classic and is expected to be at his peak for the $10 milion Dubai World Cup on March 30.

The Charlie Appleby-trained Divine Image (Scat Daddy x Sure Route by Ishiguru) impressed when she beat the colts by more than seven lengths for her second win at stakes level after her win in last month’s G3 UAE Oaks.

Appleby completed a treble when Old Persian (Dubawi x Indian Petal by Singspiel) secured a short-head victory over fellow Godolphin entire Racing History (Pivotal) in the Dubai City Of Gold.

Other winners on the Super Saturday program were the Doug Watson-trained Drafted (Field Commission x Keep The Profit by Darn That Alarm) in the G3 Mahab Al Shimaal and stablemate Muntazah (Dubawi x Rumoush by Rahy) by 10 lengths in the G3 Burj Nahaar.
