The Russell Cameron-trained eight-year-old, Fast Future continued a great run for New Zealand-bred stayers in Tasmania when he won Wednesday's Group 3 Launceston Cup at Mowbray.

The son of Generous powered home to register New Zealand's fifth consecutive win in the 2400m feature.

Since 2007, NZ-bred winners have been Hofmeister), Ista Kareem, Zavite and Larry's Never Late.

Fast Future won the G3 Caloundra Cup in 2008 and has seven others wins to his credit and 11 placings.

He has amassed approximately $491, 220 in earnings for his syndicate of owners that includes former AFL stars Wayne Richardson, Barry Bourke and Kerry Good.

Fast Future was bred by Glenmorgan Farm, who utilised their resident sire at the time Generous with the unraced Rory's Jester mare Quip.

Quip hails from the G1 family of Heart Of Dreams and has produced one winner from four to race.
