Dubawi’s remarkable year rolled on at Doomben on Saturday when his classy four-year-old sprinter Ball Of Muscle claimed the G2 QTC Cup.

The winner of the Listed Takeover Target Stakes earlier this year in record time, Ball Of Muscle was having his first start since a game second in the G2 Victory Stakes at the Gold Coast when he was beaten by another Dubawi star Srikandi.

The sire of 93 stakes winners including 17 G1 winners, Dubawi has been represented by five G1 winners this year alone highlighted by his northern hemisphere stars Al Kazeem, Night Of Thunder and Prince Bishop.

With more 20 individual stakes winner worldwide since the beginning of the year Dubawi is closing fast on the landmark century after becoming the fastest stallion in history to be responsible for 50 individual Group winners.

Still only 13 years of age, Dubawi’s year has also seen one of his sire sons Makfi responsible for the first G1 classic winner of the 2015 French season when Make Believe won the Poule d‘Essai des Poulains (2000 Guineas) at Longchamp.

Dubawi only stood for three breeding seasons in Australia yet has been responsible for the G1 winners Secret Admirer (Flight Stakes, Epsom Hcp), Tiger Tees (ATC Galaxy), Shamal Wind (Oakleigh Plate), the G2 and G3 winners Catkins, Srikandi, Arabian Gold, Ball Of Muscle, Lady Of Harrods, Intimate Moment and Cellarmaster, plus six Listed winners.

Ball Of Muscle is a full-brother to Tiger Tees and a half-brother to the G1 Darley Classic winner Terravista (Captain Rio) and Singapore’s multiple G1 winner Super Easy (Darci Brahma).

Parfore, the dam of Ball Of Muscle, has produced eight winners from eight to race including five stakes winners.
