Sun Stud will add classy young stallions Ready For Victory and Jabali to its formidable rosters in Victoria and Queensland this spring.

Less than a week after securing the breeding rights to G1 Australian Guineas winner Palentino, the China-owned stud will stand Ready For Victory at its Victorian farm and add Jabali to its Queensland-based roster.

Ready For Victory is a stakes winning son of More Than Ready and Jabali is a G2 winner by Exceed And Excel.

“Sun Stud is very happy to be standing Ready For Victory and Jabali in 2016,” said managing director Danielle Cheng.

“The lineups in both states are really doing the job and the inclusion of these two outstandingly-bred and well-performed stallions will only accentuate the existing quality at both farms.

Ready For Victory was fourth in the G1 Golden Slipper and this season has finished second in the G3 HDF McNeil Stakes, third in the G2 Danehill Stakes and third in the G1 Caulfield Guineas.

He is closely related to champion 2YO Meurice and highly successful sire Rubiton.

Sun Stud (formerly Eliza Park Stud) acknowledged that Jabali would be popular in Victoria but eventually decided that Queensland was the right fit.

“Jabali is likely to be well supported by Queensland breeders, especially given his resounding victory in the last year’s Queensland Guineas,” said Cheng.

“Jabali was an exceptional 2YO with stakes seconds at his first two starts before running second in the Group One Blue Diamond.”

Mick Price trained both Ready For Victory and Jabali and agrees they wil be popular with breeders.

Sun Stud has also revealed it will also be announcing a new initiative - Sun Club - in the next week.

Ready For Victory will stand at a fee of $9900 inc. GST, while Jabali’s introductory fee is $7700 inc. GST.
