A half-sister to champion sprinter and Horse of the Year Lankan Rupee was among an impressive array of recent blue blooded winners.
The Mick Price-trained Inspired Estelle, by Manhattan Rain from Estelle Collection, broke her maiden when she won over 1300m at Sandown on Saturday at her second start.
"She can be a little temperamental, like her brother was when he was younger, but the penny is starting to drop and there should be a nice future for her," jockey Luke Nolen said of Inspired Estrelle.• Redoute’s Choice, the sire of Lankan Rupee, was responsible for two beautifully bred winners in Sydney and Melbourne on Saturday.
At Rosehill the promising Peter and Paul Snowden-trained three-year-old filly Ravi (Redoute’s Choice x Mambo In Freeport by Kingmambo) steamed home in the heavy ground for hgr fourth win in seven starts.Ravi is a sister to Listed winner Elzaam, who was foaled in Australia to northern hemisphere before being exported to race in Europe for Sheikh Hamdan Al Maktoum.
Elzaam, a York and Newbury winner with multiple Group placings, is standing at Ballyhane Stud in Ireland and has been represented by four first crop winners this season in Europe.Another daughter of Redoute's Choice to impress on Saturday was the Qatar Bloodstock-owned Sandown winner Clemency.
A daughter of the G1 winner Eskimo Queen (Shinko King, Clemency has won four of her eight starts.• LAST Wednesday’s Warwick Farm meeting featured the first Australian win by the import Zourkhan, a Shamardal half-brother to the Aga Khan’s champion mare Zarkava.
An Aga Khan homebred, Zourkahn was secured by trainer Chris Waller at last year's Arqana Autumn Sale in France for €90,000 after he had won his final start for Alain de Royer Dupre.Zarkava was a five time G1 winner and European Horse of the Year.
