Miss Finland, a four-time G1 winner of the Golden Slipper Stakes by Redoute’s Choice, failed to get in foal to Dundeel this season.

Street Cry filly Stay With Me, winner of the G1 Thousand Guineas at Caulfield last spring, was recently retired to stud. She is one of two foals to race from Miss Finland and both are winners.

Her first foal Woodbine, by Hussonet, won four Sydney races before he was sold to Western Australia.

Arrowfield’s Paul Messara said the stud was delighted to have the chance to send both mares to Deep Impact.

“Deep Impact is one of the world’s leading sires and it is a rare opportunity to be able to breed to a horse like that,” he said.

“It is quite an extensive exercise to get them over there, have them bred and send them home so we make sure we send nice quality mares.

“The product that we are going to get out of those matings will either be stallion prospects or very valuable broodmares.”

Mating plans for another high class mare Rising Romance have also been confirmd with the 2014 ATC Australian Oaks winner to be covered this spring by boom sire Written Tycoon.

The Ekraar mare wil race during the spring after she is covered by Written Tycoon at Woodside Park in Victoria.

Woodside Park’s Matt Tillett said the Rising Romance booking to Written Tycoon was an example of the growing stature of the young sire.

“I don’t know many Group One winning mares off the track that would have gone to a Victorian-based stallion,” Tillett said.

“Written Tycoon has gone from being a good source of winners to attracting the most commercial mares that you can have.”

Tillett confirmed that Written Tycoon will also cover the G1 winner Samantha Miss (Redoute’s Choice) and G2 winners Fontiton (Turffontein) and Gregers (Commands) this spring.

“He is going to be busy. He won’t cover many more than he has in the last couple of years but his mares are a higher quality,” Tillett said.

“We have no doubt he will be able to get through it like he has the last few years.”

Written Tycoon is the sire of this season’s Magic Millions Classic and Golden Slipper Stakes winner Capitalist and has risen to third place on the Australia sires’ premierships by earnings and winners.
