SIzzling Adelaide Win By Zizzis

First season stallion Sizzling sired his fourth winner when Zizzis won the Magic Millions Adelaide 2YO Classic (1200m) at Morphettville.

The Patrick Payne-trained filly has played a key role in promoting Sizzling to second on the Australian first season sires standings by winners. His runers also include the Sizzling Belle, a Sydney winner who was second d in Sunday’s G3 Black Opal Stakes.

Zizzis (Sizzling x Senro Kisaki by Danehill Dancer) could head to Sydney after she extended her unbeaten run in South Australia’s richest 2YO race.

An all the way winner at Bendigo at her only previous run, Zizzis was purchased by Joe O’Neill’s Prime Thoroughbreds from breeders Edinburgh Park at last year's Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale for $120,000.

She is the eighth Magic Millions feature race winner to be syndicated by O'Neill.

"In the last five years I've bought 10 yearlings that have raced for nine winners and they've won five Magic Millions races," O'Neill said.

"We have really embraced the Magic Millions concept and we set our horses for the Magic Millions races and we win them.”

Zissis is one of three named foals out of the winning Danehill Dancer mare Senro Kisaki, making her a half-sister to two winners.

Her winning second dam Liefling (Alleged) is a half-sister to the stakes winner River Cara (Irish River).

The Lindsay Park-trained Fanatic (Shocking x Komplete Klass by Groom Dancer) has now won six races and placed four times in 32 career starts, amassing prize money of $650,000.

The 5YO mare is one of six foals and three winners out of the winning mare Komplete Klass, a half-sister to stakes winner Absolutely (Coats Choice) and the G2-placed dam of G1 winner Rockdale (Danroad).

Her second dam Kappadios (Great Charmer) has produced 10 winners while her unraced third dam Kapliyda (Auction Ring) is a half-sister to G3 winner Kerita (Formidable) and stakes winner Kareena (Riverman).

This family includes G1 winner Kalanisi (Doyoun), G2 winners Saxon (Danehill) and Kalaman (Desert Prince) and G3 winners Keraka (Storm Bird) and Keratiya (Iron Mask).

Patrick Payne-trained filly Zizzis is now unbeaten after two starts, having won well on debut in 2YO maiden (1000m) at Bendigo on 28 February. She began well here and settled in fifth place, between runners, tracking a quick tempo (first 600m 34.64) before getting a split to challenge shortly after turning for home. She took the lead at the 100m and went on to win quite impressively. The Leon and Troy Corstenstrained filly Illuminaire went well here on debut. She was quickly away and travelled at a solid early tempo outside the leader (Strategic Agenda) before briefly getting to the front at the 200m. She then held on well after her early efforts to finish second in a promising effort. Phillip Stokestrained gelding Dancer's Kin has now been placed in all three starts, following seconds at his first two runs with a late-closing third here. He settled midfield, between runners, got a split at the 200m and then ran on to gain the minor placing in a photo.
