Having her first start over a mile at Werribee, Makybe Diva’s daughter named Divanation won with ease.

Divanation swept home to win which is interesting as her mum did the same thing to win her first stakes race in the Werribee Cup in 2002, ironically also under Luke Currie.

Tony McEvoy-trained Divanation, a three-year-old daughter of champion mare Makybe Diva (Desert King), was most impressive in winning on debut. She settled well back in sixth place, tracking a good tempo, before moving up really well nearing the home turn. She dashed to the front at the 200m and then went on to score easily, running the 1625m out well. She looks a filly with a very bright future.
