Final Breeze Ups For Gold Coast 2YO Sale

3 minute read

A colt by Sidereus took the honours when entries for Tuesday’s Magic Millions Gold Coast 2YOs in Training Sale had their final breeze-up session at the Gold Coast Turf Club.

More than 60 juveniles breezed before they and other exciting prospects from three earlier breeze-up sessions around the country go under the hammer from 11am Queensland time.

The quickest breeze-up on Monday came from the Sidereus half brother to Magic Millions WA 3YO Trophy winner Epic Grey (Lot 29) who ran his timed 200m in a slick 10.24 seconds.

The colt is a member of the Symphony Lodge draft.

Kenmore Lodge's Deep Field colt from the American stakes winner Hadavision (Lot 52) clocked the second fastest breeze at 10.38 seconds.

Rounding out the top five times of the day were colts by More Than Ready (Lot 217 in 10.44), Snitzel (Lot 156 in 10.55) and another by More Than Ready (Lot 150 in 10.65).

A number of impressive updates have been recorded since the catalogue was released including a significant boost to the pedigree of Lot 182 - the Fastnet Rock filly from Valadon.

The sale bound filly is a three quarter sister to recent G2 Shannon Stakes winner Noire.

Following the 2YOs in Training Sale is followed by the Spring Racehorse Sale with a quality packed line up of going under the hammer including a classy draft of 21 horses from Godolphin.

Two lots to go under the hammer at the Spring Racehorse Sale have won in the past week. Catesby (Lot 259 from Godolphin) was a winner at Warwick Farm last Wednesday, while Mini Model (Lot 238 from Woodpark Stud) won at Canberra on Friday.

Other Godolphin entries include G2 winners Old North and Souchez and several other stakes performers.
