The daughter of Snitzel raced only seven times after she was purchased as a yearling in 2017 for $1.7 million.

The daughter of dual G1 winner Response earned over $2.5 million.

* Group One sire Dane Shadow has died after a long battle with ill health.

Standing at Kitchwin Hils in the NSW Hunter Valley, Dane Shadow produced 10 stakes winners including the G1 winners Red Tracer, Hurtle Myrtle, Shelscrape and Sahdows In The Sun.

The son of Danehill's stud career spanned 14 seasons after a racing career that saw him win the G3 Ming Dynasty Quality. His dam was the outstanding G1 winner Slight Chance (Centaine).

He was the foundation sire at Kitchwin Hills and to date has left 332 winners from 504 of his progeny to race.

"It's been a pretty sad day, he was the first horse we ever stood and was phenomenal for us," said Kitchwin Hills manager Mick Malone.
