Zoustar Colt Is Ready To Run

3 minute read

A colt by Zoustar set the time standard at the Seymour breeze-up session in preparation for next month's Magic Millions Gold Coast 2YOs in Training Sale.

Catalogued as Lot 214, the chestnut colt is the second foal of an unraced half-sister to G1 Coolmore Classic winner Regal Cheer, the dam of multiple stakes winner Knoydart.

A member of a quality Nolen Racing draft, the colt clocked 10.18 seconds for his 200m breeze at the Seymour Racing Club.

Lot 56, a El Roca-Mandeville colt for Moffatt Breaking & Pre Training and Lot 165, the Starspangledbanner-Vintage Class colt from Rosemont Stud, both ran 10.32 seconds.

A full brother to Black Magnum (Lot 153) from Nolen Racing clocked 10.33 seconds, while Lots 32 – a eadwater-Kee De Vega colt for Moffatt Breaking & Pre Training - and 242 (No Nay Never-El Shahar colt for Nolen Racing) ran 10.35 seconds.

The breeze-up action now switches north for a large line-up to step out at the Gold Coast Turf Club from 9.30am on Monday.

The Gold Coast session will be live under sales on the Magic Millions website.

At Warwick Farm in Sydney a pair of Damien Lane-prepared 2YOs stole the show in the breeze ups ahead of the 2019 Ready2Race Sale.

Lots 99 (Real Impact x Madison Park) and 138 (Deep Field x Prinny's Girl) breezed as a pair with the colts recording 10.17 and 10.18 seconds respectively.

The breeze ups were transferred to the pro-ride track after 92ml of rain fell on the course proper during the week.

The Ready2Race breeze ups continue next week when Eagle Farm and Taupo host sessions on Monday before a final session at Warwick Farm on October 18.

A colt by former Australian Horse of the Year Dissident impressed at the first breeze-up session for next month's Magic Millions Gold Coast 2YOs in Training Sale.

The colt stopped the clock in 10.12 seconds for his 200m breeze at the Warwick Farm session.

The first living foal of the lightly raced Commands mare Demanding Queen, the black or brown colt is a member of the Mel O'Gorman Racing Stables draft from Tamworth.

O'Gorman has quickly built a vendor reputation at the Ready To Run sales as she prepared the two highest-priced lots at last year's Gold Coast sale, a colt by Shamexpress

for $320,000 and Choisir colt for $300,000.

The Dissident colt hails from the family of G1 winners including Bonneval, St Reims, Champagne, Charmont, Octagonal and Diamond Lover.

O'Gorman also sent out the second fastest breezer at Warwick Farm, a Wandjina half brother to Group winner Puritan and three other metropolitan winners who recorded 10.24 seconds for his 200m.

The fastest filly was a Starspangledbanner youngster from the multiple Melbourne winning Aqlaam mare Zakayla in 10.39 seconds.

The breeze-ups for the Magic Millions 2YOs in Training Sale continues on Friday at Seymour in Victoria and will be streamed live o the Magic Millions website.

The two day sale will be held on October 13 and 14.
