Marwishuponastar is sure to get through the heavy conditions at Wagga today when he lines up in the Southwest Stockfeeds benchmark 70 Handicap (1400m).

The Kerry Weir-trained runner has been in very good form of late, winning his last two, the most recent by four lengths at this C/D on a heavy track.
Marwishuponastar backs up quickly into this but has outstanding credentials at this course and does his best racing over the 1400m.
The six-year-old gelding rates well on weight adjusted Timeform figures and from barrier 8 is likely to push forward and put himself in the race.
From 11 starts on wet tracks, Marwishuponastar has won five and placed on another occasion. Carl Spry who has two wins from as many rides on the gelding stays on board and he looks very hard to go past once again.
Exceed And Exalt, formerly with the Guy Walter stable looms as a big danger, dropping back from metropolitan company where he got too far back but ran on well for fourth on a heavy track.
The four-year-old gelding now trained by Lucy Longmire has certainly been running well and has the form to win a race like this however from six starts over the 1400m has failed to even place.
The son of Exceed And Excel is also unplaced from three previous third up efforts but has won on a heavy track previously and looks right in this back in grade.
Iza Star who grabbed a win a this course just last week also rates a mention although is stepping up in class on the back of that effort.
He goes well at this course and down in the weights is sure to make his presence felt with John Kissick staying on board as well.
Go Katrina drops well backed in grade after beating just the one runner home at Moonee Valley last start. Has failed to win a race in 513 days but in this company looks a genuine chance.
Lexical Ambiguity who is also back in grade and distance looks the best of the rest. Well held at Warwick Farm last start but goes well at the trip and has won a wet track previously.
Likely to be in the mix and has each way claims in this company.
