Australian thoroughbred TAB meetings are today held at Gunnedah, Werribee,  and Ipswich.

GUNNEDAH: RACE 7 @ 4:50 PM

The consistent SCHOLL DEEP (2) has been racing well at the provincials, most recently picking up late ground to finish fourth over this distance at Newcastle. Raced here once and scored over this trip last prep. Ideally drawn so back in this company he should prove too classy. PISA CAKE (6) won narrowly on debut then battled on fairly to be beaten just 1.3 lengths last time out over 1305m at Tuncurry. On-pacer who has plenty of scope for improvement and is sure to give backers a sight. CHEAP GAS (1) started in the red and just prevailed when returning from a ten-week break over 1100m at Wellington recently. Sparingly raced three-year-old who should hold that form. Hard to see the winner coming outside this trio. THUNDOZER (14) struggled in the mud first-up at Muswellbrook. Can improve and fill a minor prize. ST ROY (10) ran a better race last time and is also a top-four hope.
SELECTIONS: Scholl Deep to win the last.

WERRIBEE: RACE 4 @ 2:30 PM

MARBASTION (3) improved sharply beaten 1L at Pakenham over 1400m. The mile should be right up his alley and Stackhouse can secure the run of the race. ELLA'S WORLD (10) was heavily bet at Terang on debut over 1406m and the race shape was against. She will improve quickly off that and Damian Lane's booking is a decent push for her chances. In a leading metro yard and is feared. TOSINSKY (5) just missed at Bairnsdale over a mile racing forward and will peak today. Should prove hard to peg back. BO COUGAR (8) impressed on debut and was expected to win at Geelong first-up but faded after trailing the lead. Was vet cleared and will have taken fitness and learning. She has to be considered as well.
SELECTIONS: Going with Marbastion.

IPSWICH: RACE 3 @ 11:05 PM

WALSH BAY (6) got up in the last stride to win on debut by a short head in a heavy track here 12 days ago. She is backing up fairly quickly for her second start which is normally a very good sign. The step up to 1350 metres won't be an issue and she can double the dose. AGE OF AQUARIUS (1) worked hard to find the front last start and gave a good kick on the home turn before being claimed late and running second. He might try similar tactics here and could take them all the way this time. MISHANI ECLIPSE (3) will be peaking third up and he will find this easier than any of his first 2 starts this prep. He has a good draw and is ready to put his best hoof forward at this level. STAPLETON (5) finished third on debut last start at this track and is likely to improve on that here. Drawn inside barrier and watch for any market moves.
SELECTIONS: Walsh Bay on top.
