The Greg and Skye Bond -trained pacer has had to settle for three consecutive second placings following his first-up win last month.

Street Hawk finished runner-up to Benji in the Chandon 4YO Classic earlier this month and was game in defeat behind El Chema last week.

He has drawn nicely in barrier three, while key danger Tricky Miki will have to overcome the outside draw in a field of eight.

Co-trainer Greg Bond said he felt tomorrow's Group 3 event provided Street Hawk with his best chance for feature race success.

"We will give him his shot," Bond told The Trots WA.

"Tricky Miki obviously won the Derby and he has shown he can run a quick section.

"Our bloke has the draw advantage on him and he's got the race fitness on his side.

"This is the race we have set him for and we think he can give it a good shake."

Street Hawk is the $1.55 favourite with TABtouch for the $50,000 feature, while Tricky Miki is on the second line of betting at $2.90.

Meanwhile, the race for Team Bond's Nullarbor slot appears to be down to just two, after Lord Mayors Cup winner Glenledi Chief was sent for a spell.

It now leaves Minstrel and Patronus Star as the two likely candidates for the Team Bond slot, while Steel The Show appears unlikely to fill the position.

Minstrel and Patronus Star were both notable absentees from Saturday's Furphy Bunbury Cup field, but Bond said it was a case of getting the pair to peak for of the $1 million event on April 14.

"Minstrel had the two Friday night runs in a row after the Pinjarra Cup," he said.

"We're just looking to manage him before the Nullarbor and Patronus Star is in the same boat."

While Bond said it was unlikely Steel The Show would represent Team Bond, he would be open to offers from other slot holders for the talented pacer.

"We will give him an opportunity to prove himself over the next couple of weeks," he said.

"I think he'd be up to a race of that nature.

"He's done everything right here so far."
