Veteran pacer Euston Flyer lined up as the $2.35 favourite in race two, and didn't disappoint, bringing up the 9-year-olds 16th win from 150 starts. With 11 months between wins and a 43-start losing sequence, his form suggested he would appreciate the drop in class, with his recent racing at the mid-week Gloucester Park meetings. Suvajko was able to slot in behind the leader after an initial crack for the front, with Suvaljko making full use of the sprint lane at Northam to win by 2.5m in 1:59:5 over the 2190m journey.

After a last start 6th in town, Feeling Aces was back in the winner's circle for Matt Scott and Shannon Suvalko, giving the duo their double in race four. The recent acquisition claimed honours in the Williams Cup just three weeks ago, with Scott hoping to aim the six-year-old towards the $11,000 Bridgetown Cup on April 2, with Tom Bryant taking the drive with his claim.

With Hayden Charles away in the snow, Suvaljko got the call up for Only Five Starzzz, with the Kevin Charles trained five-year-old leading all the way in race six. The mare broke an 8-start losing sequence, with her last win at Busselton in the RWWA Westbred Feature in January.

Scott and Suvaljko reunited in the last with Rising Spirit breaking through for his first win in the 3YO Westbred maiden event over the 1780m trip at just his sixth start in a race. Purchased just a month ago, the gelding was having his third start for his new connections, and after being beaten for speed for the lead, and indiscretion by Era early on in the piece, saw Rising Spirit regain the lead to stave off his rivals in the run to the line by a half neck margin in 2:01:1.

Other winners on the night included the Robin Bell trained Gladys Gugman, who brought up her third career win on the night with the five-year-old coming from behind the leader in the home straight to win by a small margin, for driver Kyle Harper.

Kevin Charles prepared a training double on Saturday night with Whos The Dad taking out the third on the card for driver Mitchell Miller. The four-year-old worked his way to the breeze, proving too strong for his peers to win comfortably by 8m over the 2190m trip in 2:00:2.

Kyle Harper drove a double on the card, with Galvinston John getting up at odds for Charlie Luca. Paying a whopping $51 for the win, the pair were able to settle in the one-out-one-back position, with Harper making his move three wide with 400m to go, getting the win on the line by 2m in 1:59:5 in race five.
