The G1 Prix des Elites (2200m) is the mounted equivalent of last week's G1 Prix de l'Etoile (2200m), with the three-year-olds gaining a 50m advantage over their elder counterparts. We look at the leading contenders for this year's renewal...

Hilyrose d'Icelea

Hilyrose d'Icelea has been gradually working her way up through the grades. Achieved a career-best result when winning the G2 Prix Ceneri Forcinal (2175m) and is relatively untried at this level and is not to be ignored based on her recent Group Two success.

Ideale du Chene

Ideale du Chene was demonstrating a strong level of form earlier in the year, recording a victory in the G3 Prix Holly du Locton (2175m) in addition to a second in the G2 Prix Hemine (2175m) at Vincennes in April. She has struggled in four starts since barring a long-odds third in the G3 Prix de Berlin (2150m) at Enghien and would need to produce best to feature.

Grisabella Vrie

Grisabella Vrie steps up to this level for the first time, producing frequent placings and victories in Class B contests. It will be a big ask for the five-year-old mare.

Galla de Manche

Galla de Manche has only delivered three starts in mounted company but undoubtedly is producing her best performances when ridden, including a third in the recent G2 Prix H Ceran-Maillard behind Girly Beco. She remains unexposed in this sphere.

Hope On Victory

Hope On Victory has been struggling with disqualifications in recent outings. She bounced back to better order with a second in the G2 Prix Ceneri Forcinal (2175m) behind re-opposing Hilyrose d'Icelea and could sneak a place.

Inoui Danica

Inoui Danica holds strong form with placings in both the G1 Saint-Leger des Trotteurs (2450m) at Caen and the G2 Prix Pierre Gamare (2700m). He ran well to finish fourth in the G1 Prix d'Essai (2175m) in June and brings the advantage of 50m over his elder counterparts.

Hirondelle du Rib

Hirondelle du Rib has been competing in both driven and mounted events over the course of the year however her best results have come in this category. She won the G1 Prix du Président de la République (2850m) at Vincennes in late June which is the stand-out piece of form in the race.

Girly Beco

Girly Beco backs up quickly after a credible fourth in the G1 Prix de Normandie (3000m). She won the qualifier G2 Prix H Ceran-Maillard (2175m) prior and may enjoy the return to a sharper test.

Hopla des Louanges

Hopla des Louanges was racing consistently prior to a disqualification at Vincennes. He caught the eye with a third in the G1 Prix du Président de la République (2850m) at Vincennes in late June and should feature in the closing stages.

Granvillaise Bleue

Granvillaise Bleue built on a strong second in the G2 Prix H Ceran-Maillard (2175m) and produced the same result in the G1 Prix de Normandie (3000m). She is racing well at the top level and is potentially hitting best form.

Ici C'est Paris

Ici C'est Paris has won three times at Group level in the last few months and been consistent. He followed up a win in the G2 Prix Pierre Gamare (2700m) with a second in the G2 Prix de Basly (2175m). It would be no surprise to see him find success at the highest level.

Gospel Pat

Gospel Pat has not competed at the top level consistently since early 2020 when he won the G2 Prix Camille de Wazieres (2175m) followed by a third in the G1 Prix des Centaures (2200m). He returns to mounted company after a midfield finish at Ecommoy in a driven event and could spring a surprise.
