This weekend see's the first Group action of the domestic flat racing season take place with the running of the G3 Prix Exbury (2000m) a race open to four-year-olds and above at Saint-Cloud.
The Prix Exbury (2000m) provides a great steppingstone to future domestic and international pattern races, most notably the G2 Prix d'Harcourt (2000m) at Longchamp in early April.
Andre Fabre is the most successful trainer of the race with ten victories, including Cloth of Stars in 2017 and Soleil Marin in 2019. The former went on to score in the G2 Prix d'Harcourt (2000m) whilst the latter finished third.
As seen from the table below the last seven winners of the G3 Prix Exbury (2000m) have all gone on to finish in the first three of the G2 Prix d'Harcourt (2000m), with three horses completing the double.
