Presented at the Arqana Yearling sales Iron Jet was purchased for a sum of €35,000. The owners wanted to prove the quality of horse they offered for sale and thought where better to advertise than on the racetrack.

Things have not been plain sailing for Iron Jet so far. He suffered considerable interference when disqualified on debut at Pontchâteau. A comfortable success at Caen followed despite his early keenness, while it was this same enthusiasm that would prove the undoing of him subsequently when disqualified at Enghien, for a second time in three starts.

Positioned just off the pace in fourth, the unexposed three-year-old made rapid headway under jockey Adrien Lamy to take up the running with over 500m to go. In-front soon enough the son of Charly du Noyer showed a likeable attitude running all the way through the line.

The strong powerful three-year-old is sure to improve with racing and if learning to settle better could easily make into a promising versatile horse. Trainer Tomas Malmqvist praised the horse's versatility between the mounted and driven divisions providing plenty of options for future assignments. The removal of shoes might aid his enthusiasm. It is likely you will not see the best of this horse however until well into his four-year-old career.
