We look at the runners for the G3 Prix de Fontainebleau (1600m), a traditional trial race for the G1 Poule d'Essai des Poulains (1600m)…

Raiku

Raiku was brought on gradually by Frederic Head through his juvenile season, racing four times. He showed improved form towards the back end of the season when securing two victories, including a success in the Class 1 Prix Bridaine (1400m) at Saint-Cloud.

Parchemin

Parchemin is unexposed after only two career starts. A winner on debut over 1400m at Compiegne, the Lope de Vega colt progressed to score by a neck over 1600m at Deauville in the Listed Prix Isonomy in October. He's expected to flourish in these conditions.

Policy of Truth

Policy of Truth has experience at the highest level and demonstrated plenty of talent as a two-year-old. He scored by three lengths over course and distance in the G3 Prix de Chenes (1600m) in September before a fair fourth in the G1 Critérium International (1600m) at Saint-Cloud. Although the winner Van Gogh was four lengths ahead of the second, there was only two necks splitting second, third and fourth.

Easter

Easter has the advantage of race-fitness, having already finished second In the Listed Prix Omnium II (1600m) at Saint-Cloud in March. He would need to improve to reverse the form with the re-opposing winner Galik.

Sealiway

Sealiway was arguably the top two-year-old in France last season, winning four times and placing twice from six career outings. His impressive eight length victory in the G1 Qatar Prix Jean-Luc Lagardère (1400m) sets the standard and he was a commendable fifth in the G1 Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf (1600m) at Keeneland to close off the season.

Galik

Despite winning three times as a juvenile, Galik seemed to struggle in the two-year-old Black Type contests. However, he built on a successful seasonal reappearance at Bordeaux-le-Bouscat to score by one and a half lengths in the Listed Prix Omnium II (1600m) at Saint-Cloud and can continue to make headway.

Summiter

Summiter has been kept busy over the Winter season and won a Class 1 conditions contest at Cagnes Sur Mer in January over 1600m. He was a credible third in the Listed Prix de la Californie (1600m) over the same course and distance subsequently and steps up in class again.

Juanito

Juanito will be having his first start in France and started off the new campaign with a low-grade win at Dusseldorf over 1600m. He was an eye-catching fourth in the G3 Preis des Winterfavouriten (1600m) in October but faces a tougher task against these.

WINNER – SEALIWAY

DARK HORSE – POLICY OF TRUTH
