This weekend sees the return of the G1 Prix de l'Atlantique (2150m). Not run in 2020 due to Covid-19 the Group One sprint is run at Enghien, north of Paris. The race was first run in 1971 and is the only Group One contest run at the second Paris track.

The G1 Grand Prix de France Speed Race (2100m) and G1 Grand Critérium de Vitesse (1600m) are often good guides to this event.

As seen in the table below there is plenty of crossover form between the trio of races. In 2016, Myrt Voltigeur was seen finishing third in both the Grand Prix de France Speed Race and the Prix de l'Atlantique. However, the trend becomes more noticeable in 2017 and 2018 with the high-class Bold Eagle. The son of Ready Cash dominated the three races in those years with four victories and a second from the six events.

Vivid Wise As and Delia Du Pommereux look the two to focus on in this year's renewal. The pair have had plenty of success in the Grand Critérium de Vitesse and Grand Prix de France Speed Race over the last two years, and it would be surprising were the duo not towards the fore this Saturday.
