This week's round-up includes Listed jumps action from Auteuil and Compiegne plus an exciting under-card from Chantilly on Sunday...

Date Tuesday 1st June 2021
Venue Compiegne
Race Prix Durtain
Type Listed Hurdle 3600m
Winner Kaskad Koko
Jockey/Driver James Reveley
Trainer Donatien Sourdeau de Beauregard
Breeding Cokoriko X Kalta
Second Epic Tale
Third Happy De Reve
James Reveley took up the running early before deciding the pace was just too strong and dropped the filly in to sit a handy third position for much of the journey. The Donatien Sourdeau de Beauregard-trained four-year-old had to wait for gaps up the straight but soon put the race to bed once finding room. That victory brought up the hat-trick and this progressive daughter of Cokoriko can continue to climb up in grade.

Date Tuesday 1st June 2021
Venue Vincennes
Race Etrier 5 Ans Qualif 2 - Prix V. Cavey
Type G2 Mounted 2700m
Winner Gladys des Plaines
Jockey/Driver Mathieu Mottier
Trainer Gilles Curens
Breeding Opus Viervil X Thétis de Vaujours
Second Guide Moi Forgan
Third Granvillaise Bleue
Mathieu Mottier took up the running at an early stage prior to setting into second place off, what looked a reasonable pace. The pair kicked for home at the 500m marker to eventually run out a comfortable winner of the G2 feature. Last year's G1 Prix du Président de la République (2850m) winner will more than likely look to step back up to the highest level in the future.

Date Friday 4th June 2021
Venue Vincennes
Race Etrier 4 Ans Qualif 3 – Prix Lavater
Type G2 Mounted 2700m
Winner Hopla des Louanges
Jockey/Driver Anthony Barrier
Trainer Franck Leblanc
Breeding Gazouillis X Jolie Lily
Second Hirondelle du Rib
Third Hollywood Night
The Franck Leblanc-trained filly settled into a nice rhythm by Anthony Barrier and the pair made smooth progress to take it up turning into the straight. The daughter of Gazouillis showed a good attitude to fight off the challenge of Hirondelle du Rib. The G1 Saint-Léger des Trotteurs (2450m) winner has now qualified for the G1 Prix du Président de la République (2850m) at Vincennes.
Date Saturday 5th June 2021
Venue Auteuil
Race Prix James Hennessy
Type Listed Steeplechase 3500m
Winner Ladyville
Jockey/Driver Bertrand Lestrade
Trainer Francois Nicolle
Breeding Doctor Dino X Ladytown
Second Lord Chart
Third Neli Has
Ladyville made all the running under Bertrand Lestrade for a comfortable five length success to ensure a one two for trainer Francois Nicolle. Already a G3 winner over hurdles it would be no surprise if the son of Doctor Dino steps back up to that grade in the near future.
Date Sunday 6th June 2021
Venue Chantilly
Race Prix la Fleche
Type Listed Two-Year-Old 1000m
Winner Dizzy Bizu
Jockey/Driver Theo Bachelot
Trainer Stephane Wattel
Breeding Caravaggio X Izzy Bizu
Second Anterselva
Third Ma Noire
The Stephane Wattel-trained filly ran out a cosy length-and-a-quarter winner to remain unbeaten in two starts. Always well positioned throughout the daughter of Caravaggio ran on strongly to score over the same course and distance as she did on debut. The success marks a first stakes winner for Caravaggio who leads the way in the European first season sires table by earnings ahead of Ardad.

Date Sunday 6th June 2021
Venue Chantilly
Race Grand Prix De Chantilly
Type G2 2400m
Winner In Swoop
Jockey/Driver Olivier Peslier
Trainer Francis-Henri Graffard
Breeding Adlerflug X Iota
Second Sublimis
Third Vaucelles
The four-year-old, who finished second to Sottsass in the G1 Prix de l'Arc De Triomphe (2400m) last year, was beaten by Sublimis on reappearance. However, Francis-Henri Graffard's colt managed to overturn that form despite not having the race run to suit. The G1 German Derby (2400m) winner should be more at home off a stronger gallop with the G1 Prix de l'Arc De Triomphe (2400m) being the main objective.
Date Sunday 6th June 2021
Venue Chantilly
Race Prix De Sandringham
Type G2 1600m
Winner Tahlie
Jockey/Driver Christophe Soumillon
Trainer Pascal Bary
Breeding Rio De La Plata X Tianshan
Second Kennella
Third See The Rose
The progressive Tahlie completed the four-timer when scoring by a head under a superb Christophe Soumillon ride. The Pascal Bary-trained filly became the first Group winner for her sire Rio De La Plata. There could be plenty more to come from her and a step up to the top level looks to be on the agenda.

Date Sunday 6th June 2021
Venue Chantilly
Race Prix De Royaumont
Type G2 2400m
Winner Thunder Dream
Jockey/Driver Eddy Hardouin
Trainer Jerome Reynier
Breeding Dubawi X Great Heavens
Second Ricla
Third Omnia Munda Mundis
The Lady Bamford-owned filly broke her maiden tag in February and bounced back from a disappointing eighth in the Listed Prix Caravelle (2100m) at Toulouse to record a first black-type success. Eddy Hardouin always had his filly well positioned as the pair drew clear for a one-length victory. This success makes it 205 stakes winners for top sire Dubawi.

Date Sunday 6th June 2021
Venue Chantilly
Race Prix Du Gros-Chene
Type G2 1000m
Winner Pradaro
Jockey/Driver Aurelien Lemaitre
Trainer Mme S Lanslots
Breeding Penny's Picnic X Vaillante
Second Berneuil
Third Batwan
The son of Penny's Picnic battled on strongly to score by a neck under a strong Aurelien Lemaitre ride. A drop back to 1000m looked to suit the Mme S Lanslots-trained gelding and it would be no surprise were he to contest similar events throughout the rest of his campaign.

Date Sunday 6th June 2021
Venue Chantilly
Race Prix Marchand D'Or
Type Listed 1200m
Winner Louliana
Jockey/Driver Cristian Demuro
Trainer Frederic Rossi
