Oscula
Accakaba retained her unbeaten record with a fourth career victory in the G2 Prix du Calvados (1400m). It was her first race away from La Teste de Buch and Maxime Guyon employed different tactics on the filly, preferring to wait rather than lead. She made headway in the final 100m and held on well to beat Fleur d'Iris by a neck. Connections are leaning towards the G1 Prix Jean-Luc Lagardare (1400m) rather than the G1 Prix Marcel Boussac (1600m) on Arc Day.

Vadeni built on a pleasing debut success to score by two lengths in the Listed Critérium du Fonds Européen de l'Elevage (1600m) at Deauville. The winning connections, successful in this race twelve months ago with Makaloun, were delighted with the colt and suspect he can improve further. Although a target has not been identified, Vadeni is likely to only have one more start as a juvenile.

She made late headway to deny Penja by a nose. Trainer Carlos Laffon-Parias felt the filly was better for a spell between her races and she will now head to the G1 Prix de l'Opéra which is six weeks away.

It was a first French Group race for trainer Alessandro Botti in the G3 Prix Dauphnis with Bellharbour Music. The colt seemed to have grown in confidence since a conditions win at Longchamp and excels on good ground. The main aim for Bellharbour Music will be a Dubai campaign over the winter but he may take on a Group Two in France in September. Second-placed horse Partenit produced a big effort on only his second start and Czech trainer Vaclav Luka is aiming for the G1 Prix du Moulin (1600m).

Skazino remains unbeaten over 3000m+ after a success in the G2 Prix Kergolay. Mickael Barzalona was nearly caught out in the early stages of the race with Rip Van Lips and Alkuin drawing nearly fifteen lengths clear of the field. He made up late ground to pass Alkuin in the final 200m and battled hard to score by a head over Rip Van Lips. It is no surprise that Skazino will now head for the G1 Prix Cadran. Skazino is a full brother to G1 Prix d'Ispahan winner Skalleti.
