Statistic Of The Week of French Trotting News - 23rd September 2021.

After the previous Stat of the Week looked at the current driver's performances, we now focus this week on the trainers ahead of another big trotting weekend at Vincennes.

The top table shows the current strike rates for this season and their personal best campaign. Thierry Duvaldestin has some impressive numbers with a 30.9% winning strike rate currently (rising slightly from last week) which is a personal best. His placings are also noteworthy with a solid 48.1% for 2021/22 though a higher personal best of 57.4% was achieved in 2018/19. Jean Michel Bazire had a fantastic 2018/19 year with a 31.9% win rate and a 55.3% of runners making the frame.

There are two Septembers to investigate in the second lower table exploring if there is a difference to 2020 from 2015. This can show any notable progression from a trainer or if this time of year is a particularly strong period during the season for them. Some eye-catching figures are found. 

Again, Theo Duvaldestin has taken a big step forward in his placings from a 38% in 2015 to an impressive 62.5% last year. The success rate is consistent, but the table shows that this time of year, the placings are especially strong.

Sebastien Guarato holds the best win strike rate in 2015 with a 18.8% which has been improved since to a 27.3%, second best in 2020. Laurent Claude Abrivard is another trainer who catches the eye by increasing his win strike rate by almost three times from a 8.6% to a 23.5% between the two selected years. 

The most impressive figure of them all is saved for last as twelve months ago, Jean Michel Bazire produced an astonishing 85.7% success rate with six winners from seven runners in September 2020.
