Saturday's card at Auteuil featuring multiple distances in the feature contests ranging from 3500m for the two Group Three hurdle events and up to 4400m for the G2 Prix des Drags Chase (4400m). It is worth looking at how some of the different trainers perform at these different trips and if some trainers excel at a shorter journey or over longer distances. The table below shows career records with win and place percent strike rates.

Results suggest François Nicolle is more focused on the shorter trips with his best win strike rate over 3000m and achieving the highest win rate from the top five trainers at 3500m. Maybe this suggests it is worth noting his horses at the shorter journeys with the younger horses more likely to be run at this trip? From this statistic keep an eye on his horses in the G3 Haras d'Etreham Prix Sagan Hurdle (3500m) on Saturday.

David Cottin is consistent in all categories but his high place rates throughout demonstrate that no matter which trip it is, he is a trainer always worth considering. His best win strike rate is over 3000m and at 4400m with the latter a clear winner against his rivals. The Lageneste & Macaire stable have four top records with their strongest distance being 3900m (for the place with an exceptionally high +69%).The table suggests maybe the middle jump distances are more favoured for the pair with an eye-catching win rate over 3900m.

Gabriel Leenders appears to be another consistent trainer at various trips especially for making the frame. His highest win rate is over the minimum distance, 3000m. Similar comments can be applied to Arnaud Chaillé-Chaillé who is consistent as well as holding the best place rate for 3000m.
