Preview: Auteuil.
Auteuil stages a high quality fixture on Sunday featuring some key trial races ahead of the Weekend International de l'Obstacle which is the biggest Jump meeting in France in one months time. We preview Sunday's action.
Listed Prix Noiro Chase (3500m)
Restricted to three-year-olds, many contenders are lightly raced over fences and are still open to further progress. Magic Marvel won on chase debut but then fell at Dieppe. He did bounce back in style tackling hurdles with a nine and half-length victory at Clairefontaine. Interesting runner.
The preference is for the David Cottin trained pair, Royale Margaux who made all to score by seven lengths over course and distance last month and It's Easy, who was third behind the top Cottin selection three weeks ago. Open to progress.
G3 Prix Orcada Chase (4400m)
The four-year-old chase does not disappoint with an exciting field set to line up. Le Listrac found success last season in the G1 Prix Ferdinand Dufaure chase (4400m) over this course and distance in May and ran with promise behind stablemate, Ladyville when fourth in the G3 Prix The Fellow - Marquise de Moratalla (4400m) at this track and trip three weeks ago. Could be the one to beat. Historien is lightly raced in chase events and may progress further. Consider. Youtwo Glass cannot be dismissed after a close second tackling the G3 Prix La Perichole chase (4400m) in June.

G3 Prix Carmarthen Hurdle (3900m)
L'Autonomie is the star of the show and bids for a five timer after success in the G3 Prix Hypothese (3900m), G2 Prix Leon Rambaud (4300m), G1 Grande Course de Haies d'Auteuil (5100m) by a very impressive 30 lengths and the G3 Prix de Compiegne hurdle (3900m) three weeks ago. The mare to beat. Polirico, Galop Marin and Paul's Saga all re-oppose where the latter could be a main danger.
G3 Prix Héros XII Chase (4400m)
Another interesting race with the four-year-old champion of his generation, Le Berry making his return to the track after a fair fifth in the G1 Grand Steeple-Chase de Paris chase (6000m) in May behind Carriacou. If fit, could reverse the form this weekend. However, the latter was an excellent five and half lengths second in that feature race and should be involved on return. Feu Follet is another classy performer who makes for appeal.
