This weekend the feature race is the G2 Prix d'Amérique Races Qualif #2 Prix du Bourbonnais (2850m) at Vincennes on Sunday. Last year Face Time Bourbon won this event before going on to big race glory winning the G1 Grand Prix d'Amerique (2700m) for the second time in late January...

Rebella Matters

Rebella Matters narrowly missed out on a qualification for the G1 Prix d'Amerique when sixth in the G2 Prix de Bretagne (2700m). She won the G3 Prix du Languedoc (2850m) over course and distance prior and must be a strong contender to run a place.

Frisbee d'Am

Frisbee d'Am was disqualified in the G2 Prix de Bretagne (2700m) last start. He has not made the frame in recent months and would need to improve to feature.

Express Jet

Express Jet enjoyed an easy lead when disqualified late in the G3 Grand National du Trot (2950m) at Le Mans. That was an eye-catching run, but his other efforts fall short of this level.

Fakir du Lorault

Connections of Fakir du Lorault were hoping for a top three finish in the G2 Prix de Bretagne (2700m) but he could only manage eighth. His previous Group form suggests he is better than that performance.

Violetto Jet

Violetto Jet has been racing consistently and caught the eye with a three and a quarter length fourth in the G2 Prix de Bretagne (2700m). He can finish in the frame.

Detroit Castelets

Detroit Castelets resumed after a two-month spell with a disappointing effort in the G2 Prix de Bretagne (2700m). He was a winner of the G3 Prix de Beaugency over course and distance in September and is entitled to improve for the run.

Diable de Vauvert

Diable de Vauvert struggled in the G2 Prix de Bretagne (2700m) last start. He was a winner of that race in 2020 but the eight-year-old is not in the same form this year.

Feliciano

Although Feliciano is a high-class individual with plenty of talent, his recent form has not been up to his best. He was a fair fourth in the G2 Prix d'Ete over 2700m in September and could find a place if reverting to better order.

Gu D'Heripre

Gu D'Heripre is having his first run for a new trainer. He is chasing a double after a start-to-finish win in the G2 Sulky Summer Races 5 Ans – Q2 (2175m) and could be an interesting runner.

Chica de Joudes

Chica de Joudes has been racing well and showed a good level of form when fifth in the G2 Prix de Bretagne (2700m). That effort would suggest she is capable of finding a placing.

Etoile de Bruyere

Etoile de Bruyere bounced back from an unusual disqualification in a claimer with a second in the G2 Prix Reynolds (2175m). That was a season-best effort, and she needs to prove she can uphold the form.

Etonnant

Etonnant is a proven Group One winner who gained an automatic qualification for the G1 Prix d'Amérique (2800m) by finishing second in the G2 Prix de Bretagne (2700m).

Carat Williams

Carat Williams has been disappointing in two starts since a spell. He placed multiple times prior to a break including a 2.25L third in the G2 Grand Prix du Conseil Municipal (2950m).

Zacon Gio

Zacon Gio has defeated Face Time Bourbon in his native Italy, but he produced a very disappointing performance on French debut in the G2 Prix de Bretagne (2700m). He would need to improve.

Delia du Pommereux

Delia du Pommereux has been disappointing since a spell, but she was an eye-catching winner of the G1 Prix de France (2100m) in February. She is better than these efforts suggest and can play a major role.

Davidson du Pont

Davidson du Pont is a top-class contender and has been given a three-month spell since a close second in the G2 Prix d'Ete (2700m). He is very capable of a big performance and would be looking for automatic qualification for the G1 Prix d'Amérique (2700m).

Bilibili

Bilibili is a top horse under saddle, but his form is not the same when driven. This is a preparation for his mounted campaign and a big performance is not expected.

Face Time Bourbon

Face Time Bourbon will be chasing his third G1 Prix d'Amérique (2700m) in 2022 and started his preparation with a comfortable victory in the G2 Prix de Bretagne (2700m). He will prove hard to beat.
