RACE 1

O'REILLY STAR (1) – Benefitted from a superb front-running ride when winning last September under Rab Havlin off a mark of 50 and has since bounced back to form when nosed out of the finish by Dixieland Rock last start. He is now two points lower and looks a leading chance in this heat.
BLUE CHIP (12) – Still lightly enough raced to show more improvement on the back of his run behind The Nutter on turf when last seen. Stays a bit further than the mile and must be included.
HORSE KING (4) – The run of this fellow was his best so far and in a race of this calibre, he should be able to build on that now one-point higher.
PARTY MAKER (10) – Struggled off much higher marks since arriving at Kranji. This is more his level and the Hideyuki Takaoka stable are beginning to find their form again.

RACE 2

IRON RULER (4) - Has trialled up well for the Falcon Racing Stable and trainer Michael Clements. With the booking of Vlad Duric from a good gate, he looks a strong chance on debut.
BLUESTONE (1) - Another first starter lining up here. Has the strong combination of Michael Rodd and Cliff Brown. Sure to be fancied off recent trial win.
MR MALEK (5) - Swiss Ace first starter trained by Lee Freedman. Rider Joseph Azzopardi has spoken highly of this horse publicly since the trial win. Must be respected.
SKY EYE (7) - Honest effort on debut and with the fitness and experience edge, should be kept safe.

RACE 3

MR BACHARACH (6) – Caught the eye when finishing off his race nicely when fifth behind Singapore Derby runner Sun Marshal. He was 1 ¼ lengths clear of subsequent winner Super Dynasty (also in Derby) and now he has had a couple of starts at Kranji. He looks ready to win one.
WIND TRAIL (3) – The Singapore Derby dream sadly hasn't happened for Hideyuki Takaoka's 4yo having won a couple back in April and May and last time out produced another solid performance to chase Hardcore home over the course and distance. He is suited to the conditions and the stable had a nice winner last Friday.
BIG REGARDS (8) – It is extremely hard to knock this plucky five-year-old at this moment in time, having won his last three races and has gone up 16 points for his troubles in the process. This will be slightly tougher but one thing is sure, he will outstay a few in this line-up.
TIGRESS (14) – This Lee Freedman-trained mare is a strong lightweight chance and has really found form since winning back in May.

RACE 4

RIVER RADIANCE (8) – Finished runner-up to a smart one in the shape of Surpass Natural on debut and has since won a trial in preparation for his second career outing.  This son of Rip Van Winkle looks upwardly mobile and is a horse to follow and a maiden win isn't far away.
LINCOLN MOONLIGHT (2) – Closed off nicely last time out behind Charming Diamond, he has a bit more experience than some in this line-up and that can count in his favour. Go close.
GAMELY (3) – Desperately unlucky to still not have won one yet in 15 tries and should once again be bang there when the race is at the business end.
GOLDEN KID (5) – A very pleasing debut when third beaten 3 ¼ lengths in the race won by Hotshots Slam. More is required from a wide draw but will be one of the more likely ones if he can overcome it at his second start.

RACE 5

INFERNO (3) – Mightily impressive last time out when winning on debut in a hotly-contested fourth Leg of the two-year-old series under these conditions. Connections have made little secret of the fact they think this son of Holy Roman Emperor is very smart and he proved that with a devastating turn of foot and a closing sectional of 22.38 (0.05 slower than Aramco in the Lion City Cup). He looks an exceptional talent going forward and should continue to impress, but his barrier is a definite negative.
ROCKET STAR (4) – Came off second-best to Inferno last time (not clearest passage) but was comprehensively beaten at the line all things considered. A very precocious two-year-old, he has shown he handles both surfaces and can let down with telling acceleration at the business end of a race. He is a huge threat to the selection in the years' star-studded two-year-old event.
BIG HEARTED (1) – A very smart juvenile, now two-from-two, has recent trial win to add to that record and the form of his win in the Inglis Ready2Race Sale stakes has since taken a couple of notable boasts with both Rocket Star (second Leg) and Charming Diamond (third Leg) both winning their next starts in good style. This is his first start on the turf but if he is able to translate his Polytrack form to the grass, he can go very close here.
HOTSHOTS SLAM (9) – Shane Baertschiger is mob-handed in this feature two-year-old race and having won it a couple of years ago with Be Bee, he knows what type of horse you need to win this Group 2. Making all on debut, he was very impressive indeed and lived up to the hype that preceded him. Can prove to be the pick of the 'Baertschiger Battalion' here.

RACE 6

GUILTY PLEASURES (1) – Has not run in a Class 4 since June 2016 (won off 60 over course and distance), he now finds himself in much calmer waters than what he has been swimming in of late and this looks a nice race for him to register win No 6 with the excellent Simon Kok Wei Hoong in the irons.
BEJEWELLED (4) – Has gone up five points for his win last time over stablemate Sacred Don in a titanic struggle. Needs to pull out more but is in good form and that's going to count for something in this contest.
TAX FREE (8) – Forget his last start over 1400m on turf. He is much better suited to racing on the synthetics and judged on his run two back, make him a player here.
HIDDEN PROMISE (10) – Has done all his winning over 1600m but ran a solid race in defeat over this trip last time behind Bejewelled when third. He has worked down to a very attractive mark and could prove a threat in what isn't the strongest Class 4 ever seen here at Kranji.

RACE 7

WASSERGEIST (12) – Won impressively on debut in Singapore. Switches to the Polytrack surface which will be of no concern and is drawn to get the right run. Expect bold showing.
REVOLUTION (2) – Has been knocking on the door in recent outings. Finds conditions to suit and is drawn to get an economical run. Capable of contesting the business end.
ELITE CONQUEST (6) – Has performed below expectation on raceday but has since trialled well leading into this affair. Capable of making amends, so keep safe.
DRAGON DUKE (5) – Intriguing runner. Steps back sharply in journey but has plenty of talent. Worth thought on best credentials with even luck from the awkward draw.

RACE 8

SACRED DON (2) – A sound run in defeat when second last time out behind stable-mate Bejewelled off a point lower over course and distance. Has a bit more weight to carry but looks a strong chance in a very winnable race.
SUPER WIN (8) – Continues in good form since winning a brace of Class 5's back in May over the course and distance. He really seems to have found his feet now after a slow beginning to his racing career and should be able to continue that trend now, going forward.
MIGHTY CONQUEROR (4) – Winless since scoring in late 2017 off an 11-point higher mark in much better company when with Mark Walker. Recent effort can be upgraded slightly and judged on his best form, he is a very well handicapped horse on the pick of his form. He does need to produce his best.
FUSION POWER (10) – Now three points lower than at only success last April 5 when last seen and was working home okay on that occasion. Place chance here.
