HKJC embarks on Smart Platform Strategy; rolls out Faster Payment System

3 minute read

The Club has been embarking on the Smart Platform Strategy - the development of a new customer wagering experience in light of technology advancements in recent years. Faster Payment System (FPS) funds transfer is the latest addition to the Smart Platform experience.

Currently, 75 percent of wagering transactions are conducted online, making the Club one of global leaders in the field.

Besides wagering transaction, another very important aspect of the customer journey is funds transfer.

Effective from 3 February, account customers with Nominated Bank Account can set up online funds transfer via FPS on HKJC betting apps quickly and easily, without the need to go to the branches or racecourses, enabling all subsequent funds transfer to be totally online, instant, secured and free of charge.

The Club also offers biometric authentication, allowing customers to login to HKJC betting apps and authorise FPS transactions simply via fingerprint or facial identification, without the need to remember multiple passwords.

The HKJC FPS service is connected 15 banks as of now, but more virtual banks and Stored Value Facilities will be connected later.

Mr Richard Cheung, HKJC Executive Director, Customer and International Business Development, said, "We thank our FPS service provider - Standard Chartered Bank (Hong Kong) Limited and all our 15 banking partners for providing FPS services that offer best-in-class payment solutions and a seamless experience. This aligns with the Club's commitment to champion an end-to-end customer wagering journey in digital."

More new innovations around our Smart Platform Strategy will be launched in 2020.
