3 minute read

Three youngsters with plenty of potential now comprise the Sprinter/Miler section, including Wellington, an unbeaten three-year-old with three wins from three starts and a possible star in the making. Computer Patch also represents a strong three-year-old crop this season – the son of Exceed and Excel has been a model of consistency and is another exciting prospect. Also among the new additions in the Sprinter/Miler category is Mighty Giant, a four-year-old winner of three races since December.

Those already in the list have not let racing fans down this term, with Golden Sixty, Playa Del Puente and More Than This having finished 1-2-3 in the BMW Hong Kong Derby. The updated Rising Star roll-call also includes the Derby fourth Savvy Nine and genuine stayer Columbus County, showing that the classic generation could be a force to be reckoned with in the future.
