The Hong Kong Jockey Club (the Club) opened the new LOHAS Shop, marking the first new Off-Course Betting Branch in 16 years.
Customers feel a difference once they step in the LOHAS Shop, which is designed with a new theme on combining simulated sports games, enhanced digital services and diversified leisure activities to deliver novel and enhanced customer experience in a modern and dynamic environment, in resonance with the concept of offering delightful pleasures of the mall in which it is located.
Event zone and relaxing seating area bring enhanced experience
The event zone offers thrilling simulation games including the popular horse racing simulators. Customers can feel their adrenaline rushing as they ride to victory on the interactive simulator as a jockey. The action continues on the big TV screens as players amaze at the technology of the electronic gaming facilities and the realistic experience of a variety of sports games. The atmosphere in the event zone is going to further heat up with live broadcast of football matches that is scheduled to start with the Euro Championship.
Customers who have a taste for natural elements can appreciate the feature wall built with recycled timber from trees destroyed by typhoons, understand the story behind, and relax in an ambience of nature and chic.
The relaxing seating area is another area to chill out. It is fitted with App-Touch Table, an App-Betting Counter, new self-vending terminals and other facilities are installed to enhance customer experience of placing bets using HKJC e-wallet. TVs and large electronic screens fitted across the Shop ensure customers can readily access the most updated information to customers.
On race days and pre-sales days, on-site Racing Specialists will share exclusive racing insights and knowledge to deepen customers' understanding of racing.
Workshop zone houses diversified leisure activities
The LOHAS Shop introduces new elements of leisure and lifestyle to extend a richer experience that meets the preferences and needs of different customers. A workshop zone is dedicated for holding regular DIY workshops for customers to create unique hand-made crafts.
