Celavi To Win Again

3 minute read

The Michael Clements trained Celavi proved too sharp leading throughout last start and looks well placed to go back to back at Kranji on Saturday.

A winner of four of her eight starts she steps up to Class 2 company for the first time but gets every chance down in the weights.

Ridden by Mohd Zaki last start, Celavi looked beaten inside the 200m before lifting off the canvas to deny Songgong Hera.

It brought up her fourth win on the polytrack from five starts and continued the great run of the Clements stable.

From his last 50 runners Clements is striking at 24 per cent and 20 per cent from his last 350 - no question he is the form trainer in Singapore.

After being forced to work from the wide draw last start, Celavi gets a much more favourable draw on Sunday and should find the front easily for Zaki.

Lines up against a number of talented sprinters but she looks more than capable when assessing Timeform weight adjusted ratings.

If able to repeat her last start performance she is sure to take plenty of catching.

The KS Tan trained Nowyousee hasn't been far away in three starts this time in and looks well placed back to 1200m.

He stuck on well behind Mr Malek last start and should appreciate getting back onto the polytrack.

In 22 starts he has won seven including eight minor placings while he has also never missed the money over 1200m including four wins.

With the aid of the claim he looks very well treated and from the good draw he looms as a major threat.

The Mark Walker trained Zac Kasa hasn't won in over 861 days but is more than capable when right and is a big watch back in this grade.

He gets in very well down in the weights and although drawn awkwardly, he should run well.

Of the rest Sacred Rebel appears the next in line with Duric sticking aboard.

Good luck and happy punting.
