The 25-year-old landed four wins from six rides at the Tokyo meeting on Sunday.
Lane, who has ridden 15 Group One winners in Australia including this year's Golden Slipper, has been licenced to ride in Japan until June 23.
He is being sponsored by leading trainer Noriyuki Hori and fittingly rode a double for his stable among his four wins.
Lane's Australian manager Dean Hawkes said the four wins was a great start for the Melbourne-based rider.
"To get a result like this so early into his riding stint is fantastic and hopefully is a sign of things to come," Hawkes said.
"To have the support of a trainer like Noriyuki Hori is very beneficial."
