Race 1: Class 6 (1000M) Allowance / KRW 60 Million

Picture: Korea Racing Authority

There are plenty of two-year-olds on debut in the first of the day. The effort of (9) SHINE FIGHTER on debut was good when going down a length to finish third behind Raon Dancer.

The Rock Hard Ten filly clocked 61.8 for the 1000m on a good track. She's drawn somewhat awkward but we saw her be one of the first to leave last time out so it should not be an issue. (10) GLOBAL THUNDER was overshadowed by winner Raon Tap Man when debuting last start to go down nine lengths and finish second.

Regardless of the margin, he still ran 61.6 on a good track which will see him go a long way in this assignment. (6) ULTRA ANNIE overcame a wide gate on debut to finish third. She was beaten five lengths, but with the better draw she should get closer to the fence and enjoy a more economical run. (2) UNOECHANGCHEON is on debut but trialed well when qualifying. She is by a little known stallion in Tout but her dam won her a couple over 1400m. Watch what she does today as a guide.

Selections (9) Shine Fighter (10) Global Thunder (6) Ultra Annie (2) Unoechangcheon

Race 2: Class 6 (1000M) Allowance / KRW 60 Million

Another bunch of two-year-olds are engaged in the second with five of them previously having a start.

The unraced (5) LUISA looks one that may be ready to hit the ground running early. She covered additional ground due to a wide draw in her trial and let down nicely in the straight to finish second. She is by Federalist and out of a handy mare in Kkakjaengi who won six races and amassed over US$500k.

She's a well-developed two-year-old (477kg) and will be watched with interest. (1) CUPID HONEY showed speed his first start before tiring in the straight. The time was respectable when comparing it to his opposition. Expect improvement second-up. (12) MONEY SILK was beaten a big margin on debut when fourth behind Geuma Kitten.

The Any Given Saturday colt will improve off his first run when he ran through the line fairly. (7) BRAVO GWACHEON is expected to be in the market. He is another one beaten a big margin on debut but did manage to beat the majority of the field home.

Selections (5) Luisa (1) Cupid Honey (12) Money Silk (7) Bravo Gwacheon

Race 3: Class 6 (1300M) Allowance / KRW 24 Million

The third on the card has twelve runners engaged with most coming of sub-par performances. (2) NONGBUI SUCHEAHWA looks hard to beat after finishing second last start over the 1000m.

The Exploit filly settled midfield and let down nicely to record a good time of 61.8 on a dry track. If she can settle close to the speed from a good draw she should take some beating. Alan Munro will be legged aboard (5) COMPLETE MOTION who has placed over the 1300m prior. She settled well back last time out as early speed is not her forte, however with a slightly better draw she may be able to position behind the leading division and run into the money.

(12) DASI DUSON will be given her first run beyond 1000m. The two-year-old will be partnered by Kim Deok-Hyeon who will most likely let her find her own feet early on in the race. (8) CHOGANGGUK passed a few in the straight last time out and is worth including in the novelties.

Selections (2) Nongbui Sucheahwa (5) Complete Motion (12) Dasi Duson (8) Chogangguk

Race 4: Class 6 (1300M) Allowance / KRW 24 Million

The fourth race has another field of maidens lining up over the 1300m. (9) SAENAE SPURT has improved with each run and based on his last effort looks a winning chance.

The son of Menifee only went down half a length last time out over the same distance when running a handy time on a good rated track. Look for his four white socks hitting the line strong. On exposed form it appears (6) CHEONNYEONUI GODO looks a good each-way chance. The Clear Attempt colt finished second last time out behind Manse when overcoming the outside draw.

Lee Dong-Ha retains the ride with previous performances suggesting he will work forward shortly after they jump. (8) POWER PRIDE was fair last time out when finishing fifth over the 1300m. He was ridden closer to the speed than anticipated and may appreciate less pressure in the early stages. (2) DIECO improved at his second start to place over the 1000m. Keep him safe in the minor placings as he attempts the 1300m for the first time.

Selections (9) Saenae Spurt (6) Cheonnyeonui Godo (8) Power Pride (2) Dieco

Race 5: Class 4 (1700M) Allowance / KRW 60 Million

A field of twelve will line up over the two turns in the fifth on the card. Consistent type (5) GEUMA ZENITH looks the one to beat as he continues on his way through the grades.

The Hansen colt finished third last time out over the 1700m behind Saba Kingdom whilst the start beforehand he won in similar company to this race. Drawn gate five he should works forward to sit on speed and proved hard to run down albeit with the 57kg on his back. (2) RULE BREAKER hasn't won since January but has placed at his past couple of starts including a second over the 1700m last time out in good time.

He has finished in the top three on 8 occasions from 11 starts and looks likely to finish in the top three. (9) WUJEONGUI HYANGGI saluted at big odds last time out in similar company and as a result he will carry an extra 3kg. She was ridden forward last time out and with limited speed engaged Lee Hyeon-Jong may elect to ride her the same way. (11) THE GUMPU improved last time out and should be kept safe.

Selections (5) Geuma Zenith (2) Rule Breaker (9) Wujeongui Hyanggi (11) The Gumpu

Race 6: Class 5 (1000M) Handicap / KRW 40 Million

A field of ten will line up over the short course in the sixth on the card. The win of (6) RAON TAP MAN last start was impressive suggesting he can make it back to back wins.

The two-year-old was ultra-fast out of the gates and ran one minute even on a good track. He's drawn central which means he should pounce out quickly again and take some running down. (3) COMPLETE CAPTAIN looks the main threat. Connections stepped him up to the 1300m last time out where he dictated the speed in the race and was never caught.

He drops back to the five furlongs but he should still be considered a winning chance. (8) GOLD MOUNT is another last start winner who has claims. He comes out of a weaker race where he started favourite. He is a lightly raced four-year-old who is another that sits on the speed in his races. (4) CAMP BADA has been picking up some minor prizemoney at his past few starts and can scrape into the top four.

Selections (6) Raon Tap Man (3) Complete Captain (8) Gold Mount (4) Camp Bada

Race 7: Class 5 (1000M) Handicap / KRW 40 Million

The seventh on the card has several chances engaged in what should be a reasonable betting market. (10) K TOP KING comes out of the NACF Chairman's Cup against the top line two-year-olds when finishing seventh.

Whilst beaten a big margin he can bounce back here based on what he has shown prior to his last run. His debut win was good and he backed it up with a placed performance in similar company. (5) RAON LIGHT MAN has the better draw of the main contenders and may be able to work forward to an inside position early on.

The two-year-old was a slick winner last time out and Jo Snag-Beom will partner him again. Expect (11) POWER TOWER to be a main player in the market. The Hansen filly was impressive at her second start when winning in good time. The one thing to consider is where Song Jae-Chul positions her from the outside draw. (9) HAERANG hasn't had a run since mid-September but has placed at her past four starts. In-form joecky Alan Munro will ride the three-year-old for the first time.

Selections (10) K Top King (5) Raon Light Man (11) Power Tower (9) Haerang

Race 8: Class 4 (1700M) Allowance / KRW 60 Million

A field of twelve will face the starter in the eighth on the card. The win of (1) CHEON GOE SEONG last time out was impressive over the 1700m.

Kim Yong-Geun partnered with the three-year-old for an easy five length win when running good time for Class 4 company. Kim Yong-Geun will partner the Clear Attempt gelding once again and is aided by the inside draw. He should lead and win and looks one of the best on the card. (12) MENI SMART has been competitive in this class for quite some time and should win another one soon.

The chestnut ran second behind Platinum Euro last time out over the 1700m. Expect her to work forward from the outside draw. (7) RULES ICHEON went down just over four lengths last time out in a similar class event. He is getting up in the weight scale but has been racing well. (10) CHEONNYEONUI BI is likely to drift backwards after the start with the wide draw. She is capable of reeling off a strong sectional.

Selections (1) Cheon Goe Seong (12) Meni Smart (7) Rules Icheon (10) Cheonnyeonui Bi

Race 9: Class Open (1200M) Handicap / KRW 300 Million

The feature race on the card will see a big field of two-year-olds take to the track in the fifteenth running of the Gwacheon Mayor's Cup.

It is an extremely open field where a case can be made for the majority of runners. Whilst this assignment is a significant step up in class, (4) EAST JET was sensational last time out when demolishing a Class 5 event. He ran the arms off the clock running 58.7 for the 1000m. He was coasting at the furlong and did not appear to be fully asked for in the run.

He's an exciting type and racegoers should be excited to see him stretched out to the six furlongs. (6) RAON FIRST is another impressive type. His win over the 1300m last time out was good and in a fast time as well. The Musket Man filly will carry just 53kg and she will be suited by the six furlongs. (8) SPEEDOM will be short in the market if not favourite. He showed his versatility last time out when coming from well back to run down a Class 4 field in good time. (5) MIGHTY SOO has won two in Class 4 company over 1300m and should be included in your exotics. The chestnut has ran into a couple of these before and accounted for himself well.

Selections (4) East Jet (6) Raon First (8) Speedom (5) Mighty Soo

Race 10: Class 3 (1700M) Handicap / KRW 75 Million

There are some very promising types engaged in the tenth on the card. It is hard to go past (1) HUSH DAEBO who looks to continue on his winning way. In no danger whatsoever he shot away for a four length win last time out over the 1700m. Yoo Seung-Wan replaced the indisposed Moon Se-Young aboard the promising type. (7) DOKDO YA collected his third career win last start in Class 4 company.

He is well weighted with the 53.5 with the rise in class. He ran 1:49.2 for the 1700m last time out which will see him be very competitive in this event. (6) EAST KINGDOM is a progressive type who ran well last time out. The four-year-old lined up in Class three company for the first time and ran a 2.5L second behind Colorful Joy. If he can sit in the first four in running he will be there at the business end. (4) LIVINGSTONE was solid last time out when second behind Vicar Bracing. The chestnut has had four weeks between runs and has the services of Lim Gi-Won as he looks for his third win. He is the likely pacemaker engaged.

Selections (1) Hush Daebo (7) Dokdo Ya (6) East Kingdom (4) Livingstone

Race 11: Class 2 (1800M) Allowance / KRW 90 Million

The second last on the card has some very nice gallopers engaged. (2) CLEAN UP SECRET returned in good fashion to finish third behind Simjangui Godong after 10 weeks away from the track. He should take improvement from the run and with a good draw he will position in the first couple and prove hard to beat. (11) HEUK JEONSA has won three of his past four and is establishing himself as a very nice horse.

He has won five from nine in total and won his most recent race by four lengths. He hasn't won with 57kg before but his form cannot be ignored. (12) HEUNGBOK DREAM is another that has been racing well but may struggle from a wide draw. Lee Joon Chel has been aboard the three-year-old for multiple wins. (4) BURUI GORI has been a model of consistency throughout his career including a Gyeonggi Governor's Cup. From barrier four he should account well for himself.

Selections (2) Clean Up Secret (11) Heuk Jeonsa (12) Heungbok Dream (4) Burui Gori

Race 12: Class 4 (1300M) Handicap / KRW 60 Million

Two of the horses in the last are building picket fences and naturally they look the ones to beat. Happy to settle with (8) PLATINUM EURO whose most recent victory was done with ease.

The Eurosilver three-year-old bounced out of the gates fast and took up the running winning in the easiest of styles. Kim Yong-Geun takes over from the injured Moon Se-Young and will be looking to make it four wins in just as many starts for connections. (3) GEUMA ACE is another that is looking for four on the trot. It took the three-year-old a few starts to work out this racing caper but since then had grown a leg.

Lee Hyeon-Jong has been aboard for all three victories, last start the horse showed some versatility by settling back and hitting the line hard in contrast to the other wins where he led. (9) PARTY POWER is always competitive in this grade. Alan Munro placed on the horse last time out when getting the horse to respond in the straight. With a well-timed run the horse can run into the money. (2) MONEY ZIF is capable of a top four finish and should be included in your novelty bets.

Selections (8) Platinum Euro (3) Geuma Ace (9) Party Power (2) Money Zif
