Race 1: Class 6 (1300M) Allowance / KRW 40 Million

Picture: Korea Racing Authority

A field of twelve maiden two-year olds will line up over the 1300m in the first at Busan. (7) OASIS GIRL looks ready to breakthrough after a solid performance last time out when finishing second over the 1000m. The Thomas Gillespie trained filly parked just behind the speed before running through the line strong.

She was beaten less than a length and steps up to the 1300m for the first time at her fourth career start. (10) HAPPY YOJEONG ran on impressively on debut over the short course. The grey filly is being stretched out to the 1300m at her second start which should not be a problem based on her first run where she sat off speed and ran on strong. (6) MASTER BELLA was encouraging on debut when overcoming a wide draw to settle just off the leading division. The Colors Flying filly finished off well finishing third behind Unbongsan and Oasis Girl. (11) BLUE POWER has placed over the 1300m previously. Whilst it was in weaker company the Blue Pin colt should be kept safe in your selections.

Selections (7) Oasis Girl (10) Happy Yojeong (6) Master Bella (11) Blue Power

Race 2: Class 6 (1300M) Allowance / KRW 40 Million

The second on the card has another field of maiden where there is a severe lack of depth engaged. (3) FIRST STAR appears to bring the strongest form lines into the race. The Simon Pure filly has had three starts for two top four finishes including a reasonable fourth placed performance last time out when she passed a few in the straight.

She has drawn favourably and should be in a position to strike when they swing for home. (12) TWO TWO DAY has placed at his past two starts. The Any Given Saturday colt has bounced out of the gates well at his past couple of starts. He should have the speed to overcome the outside draw and settle in a forward position. (11) MR. VALOR is debuting after a soft trial. His dam produced Smart Valor, Couragio and True Valor who have all won multiple races for Isidore Farm. He wasn't fully asked for in his trial and can figure first-up. (6) SPEED KINGDOM was far from disgraced last time out when finishing sixth over the 1300m. This assignment looks easier, keep the Clear Attempt colt safe in your wider selections.

Selections (3) First Star (12) Two Two Day (11) Mr. Valor (6) Speed Kingdom

Race 3: Class 6 (1000M) Allowance / KRW 24 Million

The third on the card will see twelve maidens trying to break maiden status over the short course. (5) GOLDEN RAIN looks mighty hard to beat in this based on him much-improved last start effort. The Tiz Wonderful chestnut ran 1:02.9 last time out on a dry track for the five furlongs, with that time looking superior to his counterparts engaged.

Choi Si-Dae retains the ride with the three-year-old carrying the same weight as last start. (7) NORTHERN DREAM is having her third career start. The lightly weighted filly finished fourth last time out when settling in the first half of the field.  Expect further improvement and a positive ride from Jeong Dong-Cheol. (9) FAMILY DANCER finished midfield last time out over the same distance. In a race that lacks depth she can collect some prizemoney. (2) CHEONJI DOKJU was somewhat one-paced last time out when running finishing fifth behind Big Picture. She is second-up and looks a place chance on her effort first-up.

Selections (5) Golden Rain (7) Northern Dream (9) Family Dancer (2) Cheonji Dokju

Race 4: Class 6 (1300M) Allowance / KRW 24 Million

There looks to be an abundance of speed engaged in the fourth on the card. (8) SEOBU GENTLEMAN has finished in the top five on five occasions from nine starts suggesting a maiden victory cannot be far away. The Hansen colt ran a fair time for this grade last time out and his early speed should see him get every chance. (6) WORLD SLAM is another that has been trying to breakthrough for quite some time.

He led before they balanced up for the run home last time out and eventually let a few pass him. He will be competitive in a field that has limited strength. (11) PARTY LION will jump from the outside at her seventh career start. You Hyun-Myung will jump aboard the three-year-old for the first time. She ran a respectable time last start and is a top three chance. (7) TOHAM STRONG managed to place last time out in a weak field and can pick up some minor money once again.

Selections (8) Seobu Gentleman (6) World Slam (11) Party Lion (7) Toham Strong

Race 5: Class 6 (1300M) Allowance / KRW 24 Million

The term "throw a dart" has never been more appropriate when analysing the field for the fifth on the card. With little confidence (5) FLYING KINGS is the on top selection. The Colors Flying colt missed the start hopelessly last time out and with a clean break in this he has to be considered one of the main chances. He ran a good time for this class two starts ago and should sit in a good position from barrier five. (4) MAX POWER should be kept safe given it appears to be one of the easier assignments she has lined up in.

There's very little speed engaged so she can sit in the first two if Jung Do-Yun chooses to do so. (11) BORNE MATTA is first up since May. The three-year-old ran an average trial time going into this preparation but has had three top five placings from five career starts. (3) BAEDARI CAPER has the ability to collect some minor prize money in a race lacking strength.

Selections (5) Flying Kings (4) Max Power (11) Borne Matta (3) Baedari Caper

Race 6: Class 4 (1000M) Handicap / KRW 60 Million

The sixth race on the day will see a mix of imports and local-bred gallopers take to the track over the short course. (1) HAPPY YEOGOL looks the one to beat after a good start to her career. The two-year-old has had just the four starts yielding two wins and a minor placing. She had her first crack at Class 4 company last time out and ran a respectable fifth.

This appears a weaker field and we can expect some natural improvement on her last run. She is well weighted with just the 52kg. (10) RACHEL has been stagnant in this grade for quite some time but she has placed on numerous occasions. She normally gets away well so expect her sitting on speed. (7) HEUIMANG YEOJEONSA blew the start last time out and then didn't appreciate the sand kickback. She saluted in Class 4 company two starts back and a forward showing would not surprise. (6) KAHEKILI is up in grade but is yet to miss a place from four starts. She ran a good time last start for the five furlongs but was beaten when starting a $1.40 favourite. Her forward racing pattern will give her every chance to be there in the finish.

Selections (1) Happy Yeogol (10) Rachel (7) Heuimang Yeojeonsa (6) Kahekili

Race 7: Class 5 (1300M) Handicap / KRW 40 Million

Twelve Korean-bred gallopers will take to the track in the seventh one the card. (1) HAPPY FEVER looks the progressive engagement and comes out of the stronger two year-old races. The Simon Pure colt has lined up in the feature two-year-old events at his past two starts and accounted for himself well, including a second to Save The World. Connections of (9) VIP KING have been waiting for that elusive first win for thirty-three starts.

To be fair he is racing in career best form and has placed at two of his past three starts. (10) MAJOR POWER got well back in the run last time out and had far too much to do at the top of the straight. She is a Class 5 winner and down in weight so keep her safe. (7) KOREA HUNTER has worn his odometer out as he takes to the track for the 105th time. He placed last time out over the mile and with three weeks between runs drops back to the 1300m for this assignment.

Selections (1) Happy Fever (9) VIP King (10) Major Power (7) Korea Hunter

Race 8: Class 5 (1600M) Allowance / KRW 40 Million

There is limited speed in the eighth where a field of twelve will line up over the mile. Going with the progressive (9) ADELE STROM who should appreciate an easier assignment. He won by three lengths in Class 6 company before heading to the Gimhae Mayor's Cup where he was well beaten in tougher company. expect him to work forward early-on and be one of the hardest to beat. (10) LEGACY is proving to be very consistent finishing in the top three at his past five starts. The lightly raced four-year-old has the top-weight impost of 57kg but you cannot rule him out as a main chance.

(2) CHEONNYEONUI ULRIM is another consistent type who normally collects a cheque. He normally bounces out of the gates well so from barrier two there is every chance he could lead and give them something to chase. (7) CASTEL CORE is a good last start winner but this is tougher albeit the same class.

Selections (9) Adele Strom (10) Legacy (2) Cheonneyonui Ulrim (7) Castel Core

Race 9: Class 4 (1300M) Handicap / KRW 60 Million

There looks to be two main hopes in the ninth event. (3) YEONGSEONG HOPE is one of them and has won both of his two starts since resuming this preparation. He ran 1:21:0 on a dry track last time out which is good reason to make him the on-top selection. Lee Hyo-Sik is likely to sit just off the leaders and let the Officer colt do his best work late.

(2) I'M YOUR FASHION comes out of the Gimhae Mayor's Cup where he was well beaten but his form prior in weaker company was good. He will have his first start in Class 4 company but looks the goods after running a slick time over the 1300m last time out. He's been the pacemaker at all three starts to date, from barrier two he is the likely leader. (6) ON DAY is a Class 4 winner three starts back and has carried 55kg at his past two starts as a result. He is racing well and can finish in the top three. (7) WONDERFUL TALE has found Class 4 tough to date but can improve to finish in the money.

Selections (3) Yeongseong Hope (2) I'm Your Fashion (6) On Day (7) Wonderful Tale

Race 10: Class 3 (1400M) Handicap / KRW 75 Million

The tenth on the card is a brilliant race with man chances engaged. (8) YEONGGWANGUI SECRET looks hard to beat coming off his impressive victory last time out. The three-year-old has won five from nine and is well performed over the 1400m. He has to carry top-weight but his class will see him go a long way in this assignment. (3) DOCTOR CHIC has been racing well in this grade.

He is aided by a handy draw which suits his racing pattern. He has ran into some handy types of late and gets a good chance to bring up his third win. (7) MR. SCAT hasn't raced since March but if at his best he is a winning chance. He trialed late October in good time and his form around the likes of New Legend and Mabeopui Jilju read well for this race. (6) CHEONNYEONUIJILJU was runner-up to K-Plus Won last time out and is an each-way chance.

Selections (8) Yeonggwangui Secret (3) Doctor Chic (7) Mr. Scat (6) Cheonnyeonuijilju

Race 11: Class 2 (1800M) Allowance / KRW 90 Million

A brilliant race will see us out in the last at Busan of Friday with some very nice horses to face the starter. Last start winner (2) MR. AFLEET has flown through his grades, he has gone from Class 6 to Class 2 company in just seven starts of which he has won five of them. Francois Herholdt has built a good relationship with the Afleet Alex colt. He's a smart type who has drawn well and it will take a good horse to hold off his late charge. (9) SMART PRINCE finished second behind Mr. Afleet last time out when trying to hold him off. He will be aided by both of them having to carry equal top-weight this time round.

There's not too much early speed engaged so it is expected that regular rider Kim Tae-Kyung will try to work forward early. (4) ALPHAKING IJI faces his toughest test to date. He won in good style over the same distance last time out but this is a significant step-up in class, it will be interesting to see how the three-year-old competes with this strength of competition. (10) GREAT ROCK is another that steps up in class. The form lines he brings to the race suggests he is a place chance.

Selections (2) Mr. Afleet (9) Smart Prince (4) Alphaking Iji (10) Great Rock
