Race 1: Class 6 (1000M) Allowance / KRW 25 Million

Picture: Korea Racing Authority

We've watched plenty of trials putting together the preview for the first event as all twelve runners are on debut! (10) ILHANG DALMA goes on top on the strength of her trial. The Simon Pure two-year-old jumped well out of the gates and was not pushed out entirely, just hands and heels from Kim Ok-sung who will partner her on debut. She clocked a good time and she was professional in her actions. Gyeongbudaero filly (3) GLORY KHAN clocked a good time when qualifying, she was green up the straight with her rider having to change hands with the whip as she had a tendency to lay in. If she puts it all together she looks a winning chance. (6) LONDON QUEEN looks to stride out nicely and responded to the persuader in good style in her heat. She is another each way chance based on her trial performance. (7) TEUKGWON was another who looked good in her trial and a forward showing would not surprise.

Selections (10) Ilhang Dalma (3) Glory Khan (6) London Queen (7) Teukgwon

Race 2: Class 6 (1200M) Allowance / KRW 25 Million

Competitive looking maiden but (4) THE KING BLADE did enough on debut when 2nd behind a very fast looking Oxford King to warrant top pick here. That was all the way back in July but he looked in good shape when trialing up two weeks ago and the additional furlong may benefit. After an inauspicious debut in February, (5) SAENAMUI BYEOL seemed to benefit from the enforced hiatus as he returned for the summer season looking much more like a racehorse and recorded a 2nd and 3rd. The latter was at this distance and he led until the closing stages. He'll be on pace again and should go close. (8) ACE PRINCE also had a promising summer campaign and looks nicely in to at least challenge for the places here. (9) ROSEDAY MARINE and (12) GEUMA COLOSSAL are others who can go close.

Selections (4) The King Blade (5) Saenamui Byeol (8) Ace Prince (9) Roseday Marine

Race 3: Class 6 (1200M) Allowance / KRW 25 Million

The Korean-bred maidens will line up over the 1200m in the third event. The improvement from (5) GRAY CAT was noticed last start when sitting closer to speed before finishing third clocking a good time for this grade. Song Jae-chul can navigate from a suitable gate, position him in the first few in running before unleashing at the top of the straight. (10) MYEONGJIN DAY debuted in good style last month finishing third behind Grand Castle. The Any Given Saturday colt has been dealt a blow with a wide draw, with some natural improvement however he should be treated as a winning chance. (3) MILLENNIUM POWER finished third on debut when trying to lead throughout. The three-year-old looks the likely leader and it will be a case of whether there's enough improvement to allow him to hold on. (4) NONSTOP WINNING has the five starts under his belt, yielding two minor placings including a third at his last start. He gets some relief in the weights with Lim Da-bin being legged aboard on Saturday.

Selections (5) Gray Cat (10) Myeongjin Day (3) Millennium Power (4) Nonstop Winning

Race 4: Class 5 (1200M) Handicap / KRW 40 Million

(3) TANK SOCKS receives no penalty for her win at class and distance back on October 16th and looks nicely in to score again. That win had been coming with two runner-up finishes preceding it and she can come from off the pace and finish strongly here. (11) RAON BLOOD is also a class and distance winner having led from gate to wire back in August. She was a bit ordinary when 7th of 14 a month ago but if she can overcome the wide draw to get to her favoured forward position today, then she is in with a shout. (5) SUPER LUCKY BOY has already shown that he can be competitive at this level and is likely to be on speed early from a good draw. (7) HANIL MOA is up in class following a fast win on what was a wet-assisted track. She will need to improve if she is to challenge for the win here but could aim for some minor money.

Selections (3) Tank Socks (11) Raon Blood (5) Super Lucky Boy (7) Hanil Moa

Race 5: Class 6 (1300M) Allowance / KRW 25 Million

Korean-bred maidens once again in the fifth where they will go over the 1300m. (9) MORNING NEWS is the on top selection after finishing second on debut. The Federalist filly exhibited a good turn of foot on debut coming from a midfield position to finish second behind Mir Captain. The extra half-furlong should be beneficial to her chances. (5) EUNHYE PADO showed improvement at her third start back in August. She hit the line strong over the 1200m with Park Eul-woon in the saddle, he will partner the daughter of Tiz Wonderful once again. (3) GANGHWA CHEONYEO had had six starts to date yielding just the one minor placing, which came last start back in August. She was given time to find her feet on that occasion before hitting the line in good style. There are quite a few backmarkers in this race who wouldn't want to get too far back. (4) SUN WINNER looks next best after finishing fourth last time out back in August when one paced through the line.

Selections (9) Morning News (5) Eunhye Pado (3) Ganghwa Cheonyeo (4) Sun Winner

Race 6: Class 4 (1700M) Allowance / KRW 60 Million

(2) CHOEGANG TEUKGEUP led throughout the early stages of the Korean Derby in August only to come unstuck as they hit the top of the stretch. Prior to that, he had put in two excellent performances at shorter distances and dropping back into much more amenable company today, he looks very hard to beat. It will be a surprise if he doesn't lead from gate to wire. It's a pretty average set of gallopers that he finds himself up against. (1) WONDERFUL INDIAN beat a couple of these last start and is a proven place-getter at class and distance so is perhaps the best of the rest. (6) WUJEONGUI HWANGGI too comes in off the back of a good showing last time and also has experience of the trip. (10) SUN FO RE is another who can have minor money ambitions.

Selections (2) Choegang Teukgeup (6) Wujeongui Hyanggi (1) Wonderful Indian (10) Sun Fo Re

Race 7: Class 4 (1700M) Allowance / KRW 60 Million

The seventh on the card is a Class Four event with some handy types engaged. (3) QUIET ADELE looks one of those promising types notching two wins and three minors from seven career starts. The Menifee filly finished second in both the Oaks and the new Oaks lead up – the Luna Stakes. She has shown a liking for the two turns and should be able to take care of a field like today's assignment. (11) GAROSUGIL comes off a narrow defeat at the hands of Jangsan Bada. The clocked a quick time for the 1700m and a similar performance will see the colt go close. Interestingly, he has only performed well on wet tracks, which he will get this weekend. (8) CHEONJI YEOGEOL is up in grade after successive wins. The filly returned to racing mid-year showing great improvement clocking good times when sitting on speed in her races. (10) GYORYONGDEUKSU has performed well in this grade previously. His last start was somewhat disappointing but he is worth throwing into your novelty investments as he has the ability to pop up for a minor in this grade.

Selections (3) Quiet Adele (11) Garosugil (8) Cheonji Yeogeol (10) Gyoryongdeuksu

Race 8: Class 5 (1400M) Allowance / KRW 40 Million

Apprentice jockey Lim Da-bin has made a good start to his riding career and it could get even better here. He partnered (11) EAST CHAMP to 2rd place at class and distance on October 16th, coming from off the pace to go close and coming in at the same weight today, looks to have very solid claims to go even better. (5) DALLYEORA GWANGSAN comes in with recent form reading well and this is the kind of race that the mare should be competitive in, likely coming from just off the pace. (3) CHOEGANG MAGIC is yet to win in ten attempts but enters in solid for with a 3rd and a 4th from his latest two, both at this class and distance. David Breux seems to get on well with him and they should be aiming to at least place here. (2) MEOTJIN SEUNGBU had a poor day at the office last time out a month ago but other than that has made a good start to his career. His solitary win came at this distance and he's shown he has a bit of speed about him.

Selections (11) East Champ (3) Choegang Magic (5) Dallyeora Gwangsan (2) Meotjin Seungbu

Race 9: Class 3 (1400M) Allowance / KRW 75 Million

Some nice horse flesh lines up in the ninth where the Class Three gallopers will line up over 1400m. We haven't seen (4) GLOBAL THUNDER since February but he was showing us he possesses plenty of ability back then. The Officer gelding has won three of his four starts including a brilliant win last time out when winning over this distance in good time. A similar performance to that of last start should see him win this event. The main danger appears to be (11) RUNNING BOX. With an uncharacteristic four rides for Moon Se-young, he will be looking to make the most out of this handy filly. She has finished second at her past two starts in this grade to the likes of Raon Tap Man and My Hawk, who are both handy types. She will be steaming home late and should be considered a winning chance. (1) JEONGJOUI KKUM is another that has raced well in this grade previously. The Thunder Moccasin gelding possesses early speed so look for Kim Yong-geun to bustle him out of the gates early on. (2) SPEED HWANGNYONG looks next best but perhaps better suited on a place line.

Selections (4) Global Thunder (11) Running Box (1) Jeongjoui Kkum (2) Speed Hwangnyong

Race 10: Class 3 (1400M) Handicap / KRW 75 Million

(4) FIGHT TODAY looks very much the one to beat here. He was an excellent class and distance 2nd to Metojin Wangja last start in August and an even remotely similar performance today should see him prove far too good. (5) CHUNSAN has recorded some creditable finishes in useful company and looks to be nicely in here to compete for the places. He is strong finisher and should come through late on. (2) SLEEP WELL lost his way a little during the summer season of racing but looked in fine form when winning a trial last month. From gate 2 he should be on speed and can be a danger. (10) FINAL STAR steps up to this trip for the first time. He ran 3rd over 1200M on his first try at this class at the end of August, beating Chunsan in the process and can go close here.

Selections (4) Fight Today (5) Chunsan (2) Sleep Well (10) Final Star

Race 11: Class 4 (1200M) Allowance / KRW 60 Million

The imported gallopers line up in the eleventh where there are plenty of unknowns when it comes to assessing their individual chances. (8) MUNHAK ZENYATTA is the on top selection based on the strength of her last performance. She finished second behind Blue Macaron when clocking 1:12:6 on a sloppy rated track. With just the 52kg she needs to respected as a main chance. (4) GLOBAL SINHWA qualified in his trial in good style. The Shackleford colt jumped quick before being pestered in the lead during the early and middle stages of the race. Eventually he proved too strong winning the trial shaking off the rest of the field. He looks forward enough to be a winning chance on debut. (11) MEDICI QUEEN was good through the line at her most recent trial. The filly has drawn a sticky gate but if she can slot in early and produce an improved performance on her trial she has place claims. (3) EAST POINT adds some interest to the race being the first representative of Rubick (sire of Everest winner Yes Yes Yes). In the trial he looked as if he still has a bit to learn but it was good enough to suggest he can play a part here.

Selections (8) Munhak Zenyatta (4) Global Sinhwa (11) Medici Queen (3) East Point
Next Best 10, 2

Race 12: Class 2 (1200M) Handicap / KRW 90 Million

A very competitive finale. (8) RED BLADE drops back in trip following a strong 3rd over the 1700M in August. He has won over the distance before and while he does carry 57kg here, he looks a strong contender. (4) RAON STORM is a winner of five from eleven. He ran 3rd at class and distance at the end of August having led for much of the way around. He is nicely drawn to lead again and with an apprentice jockey aboard, he has a 6kg advantage on Red Blade. It could be crucial. (3) THUNDER MARK was 4th behind Raon Storm in that August race. The filly hasn't quite lived up to her early potential but remains a dangerous competitor and should be in the hunt for at least a place today. (7) HAE HU is inconsistent but is another who looks at home in this company.

Selections (4) Raon Storm (8) Red Blade (3) Thunder Mark (7) Hae Hu
