Seoul Race 1: Class 6 (1200M) Allowance / KRW 40 Million

Picture: Korea Racing Authority

Three-year-old maiden fillies in the opener and it's hard to look far past (7) MAGIC MOCCASIN. She has led in both of her races so far, at 1000M and 1200M, ultimately finishing in 4th place on both occasions but beating a couple of today's rivals. She should have enough speed to get to the lead again here and it's doubtful whether there is anything good enough to pass her. (2) SAENGIL SEONMUL has run fairly across four starts so far with a runner-up finish over 1000M her best. She ran 6th behind Magic Moccasin last time out and from a good draw can be on pace today and in this a long way. (3) MEOTJIN ARCH improved at her latest outing on April 24th when a close 3rd at this distance. A similar run would put her in placing contention again. (1) ECLAIR THE ONE and (9) BEST MAD CAM other minor money hopes.

Seoul Race 2: Class 6 (1200M) Allowance / KRW 40 Million

Three-year-old maidens here with four of the ten racing for the first time. Having won a very slow trial in February, (8) ROMA BLADE put in a solid effort on debut on April 2nd, running 3rd at this distance, well beaten by a good winner, but not far behind the runner-up. We are going to be looking for her to find a bit more here but with natural improvement for that run, she has winning chances. The one she will need to beat is (3) CAMP SAVER. She has steadily improved over her five starts so far, with a 5th and a 4th in her latest two, both at this distance and both in good times. In the absence of much early speed, she is likely to be on ace here and she won't need to find much improvement to win. (9) KING HONOR ran 5th on debut behind Roma Blade and can build on that here. Of the first-timers, (2) ORAE HAMKKEHAJA is half-brother to Heunghaeng Jilju and while his trial was forgettable, he will have backers. (10) RUN BOY RUN won his trial, which is enough to put him in the mix in this company.

Selections (8) Roma Blade (3) Camp Saver (9) King Honor (2) Orae Hamkkehaja

Seoul Race 3: Class 5 (1400M) Handicap / KRW 40 Million

(10) FORT SEUONE is a model of consistency and while she has only won once in seventeen attempts, she has fair claims of another here. At her latest, in an all-filly race at this distance on April 9th, she broke well and sat handy, running on for a good 2nd. She comes down slightly in the weights today and while she does draw wider, can be on pace again and can win. (9) THE REAPER is anything but consistent, with three runner-up finishes his only times in the money. Nevertheless, the latest of those on April 17th was in a similar race to this when he managed to get to a handier position than he had in other recent starts. A repeat will see him in the finish again. (2) TINA gets a much better draw than in her latest two when she has come from off the pace and finished well. The slight step up in trip may be in her favour too. (7) FUN CRAZY comes up in class after winning at start number three over 1200M on April 10th. He comes up in trip too, but his running style suggests it can suit and he can go close. (8) FEDERAL EYE has the fastest time of any of these for the distance and while he can mix his form, could be appealing at an each-way price.

Selections (10) Fort Seuone (9) The Reaper (2) Tina (7) Fun Crazy

Seoul Race 4: Class 4 (1400M) Handicap / KRW 60 Million

After winning on debut last July, (3) WONPYEONG GASOK spent the remaining four starts of his juvenile season running exclusively in all the big two-year-old races and he managed to hold his own with 2nd place in the Listed Munhwa Ilbo perhaps the best result. That meant he found himself in class 4 level when he returned to normal races, and he comes in following back-to-back 2nd place finishes over 1200M. He comes up in the weights but draws well and has solid claims. (7) MY WIN is a winner of three from seven and was a solid class and distance 3rd on his latest appearance on March 12th when on pace throughout He carries plenty of weight as well but has every chance of a return to the winner's circle. (4) WHITE CHARM ran pleasingly enough on what was his first start for a year on April 17th. He should have come on for that and can go closer today. (2) EOSEOWA and (9) ANYANG HORANGI among others in the placing frame.

Selections (3) Wonpyeong Gasok (7) My Win (4) White Charm (2) Eoseowa

Seoul Race 5: Class 2 (1200M) Handicap / KRW 90 Million

The first division of the class 2 sprint. (3) YEONHUI ILCHUL is a top-class filly has posted fast times at this distance. She finished off last season with 3rd place in the Jeju Governor's Cup behind Raon First and in her only start this term, on March 12th, overcame gate twelve to beat a couple of these on her way to 3rd place over 1400M. She comes down in the weights, draws much better, and could be too good. (2) GO UP returned at the end of February from almost ten months out and was on pace at class and distance, eventually finishing 4th. She should have benefitted for that run, can strip fitter today and go close. (5) LADY KELLY was a class 3 winner at 1400M two starts back before dropping back to this distance for her first crack at class 2 on April 9th. Handy throughout, she finished 3rd and should be in the mix again here. (7) MENI CHAMP and the returning one-time Derby winner (1) WONDERFUL FLY, others to consider.

Selections (3) Yeonhui Ilchul (2) Go Up (5) Lady Kelly (7) Meni Champ

Seoul Race 6: Class 2 (1200M) Handicap / KRW 90 Million

The second division of the class 2 sprint and it's hard to look too far past (1) COBRA BALL. A winner of five from nine, he makes his class 2 debut here after a good win at this distance on April 10th, when he made all. He has run consistently good times and under a light weight and from a good draw, he can win again. The main danger is in the next gate. (2) OXFORD KING comes up in class having roared back into form with a super-fast win at this distance on March 13th. It was a very wet track that day, but it was eye-catching, nevertheless. He too has a very light weight here and can measure up in this class. It would be a surprise if those two don't fill out the quinella. (8) ICE PUNCH has plenty of experience at this level and while 1400M is usually his go, he has a fast time to his name at this distance and will be running on the strongest late on. (6) RAON FASHION and (7) BYEOLNARA SINSA other minor money contenders.

Selections (1) Cobra Ball (2) Oxford King (8) Ice Punch (6) Raon Fashion

Seoul Race 7: Class 5 (1700M) Allowance / KRW 40 Million

(5) CAPTAIN BRAVO was a class and distance winner on April 10th, when he led or was in 2nd place the entire way around and beat three of today's rivals in the process. HE only comes up 1kg in the weights as a result and draws well again. He doesn't exactly win out of turn, but an immediate repeat is possible here. The main danger is (8) NAUI NARA. He got his maiden win two starts back over this distance at class 6 level before coming close to making all on his first try at this class on March 26th, ultimately finishing a close 2nd in a good time on a wet track. He has four top-three finishes from six starts and has plenty of scope for more development. (9) SWEET JUICE BAR returned from almost a year out to make all over 1400M at class 6 level on April 9th. He is up in class and distance today, but the manner of that win suggests more to come. (10) CURRERECUS and (11) FOREVER KHAN are others in the hunt on a competitive race.

Selections (5) Captain Bravo (8) Naui Nara (9) Sweet Juice Bar (10) Currerecus

Seoul Race 8: Class 4 (1700M) Handicap / KRW 60 Million

Over the past month, Luigi Riccardi has sent out nine winners from twenty starts, the best record at the track by some margin. He could have another one here with (1) NAMSAN LOVE. He was a winner at class and distance just two weeks ago when handy and running on. Under today's handicap conditions he comes down in weight from that and from a great draw, the stable's hot streak can continue. (2) ROYAL HAMSEONG is yet to finish in the top two in any of his sixteen starts. However, his recent form has been promising with a 3rd and a 4th from his latest two, at 1700M and 1800M. Today being a handicap sees him tumble down the weights and he also comes into a better gate and a career-best finish isn't out of the question. (6) CHEON GUN is another who benefits from the handicap conditions. He has the fastest time among these for the distance and while his recent form has been up and down, he shouldn't be ruled out. (5) GEUMSEONG MAN and (4) MUNHAK LUCKY among other contenders.

Selections (1) Namsan Love (2) Royal Hamseong (6) Cheon Gun (5) Geumseong Man

Seoul Race 9: Class 3 (1400M) Allowance / KRW 75 Million

A competitive race to finish with but (10) RUBICON will probably start a warm favourite. Her latest two outings have seen her win at class 4 level over 1700M, making all, and then leading the Gold Circle Trophy Trophy race for a long time before ultimately going down to Queens Tour. She comes back in trip to one turn for the first time in a while but with her on pace style, it should suit, and she will be the one to beat. (1) YAHO GOLDEN CAT was a creditable 4th of fourteen on his first outing of the year on March 19th. He is a winner at this distance in the past and from a great draw can go close here. (9) LUISA was 5th behind Rubicon in that Gold Circle race on April 3rd. She has a remarkable record of never finishing outside the top-five and at the very lease she should maintain that here. (6) MONEY SIJANG and (3) FOREVER DREAM among plenty of others with at least placing chances.

Selections (10) Rubicon (1) Yaho Golden Cat (9) Luisa (6) Money Sijang
