Sibling rivalry to rule at York on Thursday

3 minute read

Lah Ti Dar and her full but younger brother will go for a rare double in the G2 features at York on Thursday.

Lah Ti Dar is odds-on favourite to win the Middleton over 2000m and little brother Too Darn Hot is favourite for the Dante.  Their mother Dar Re Mi must be very proud of her offspring.  The going at York is good>firm which should suit and the Middleton has only 6 runneres.  Rawdaa from the Sir Michael Stoute yard could be next best with Ryan Moore on board,  The Dante has 8 runners and the main rival to TDH is Japan on 5/1.  We have a roughie here worthy of a lttle e/w - Nayef Road for Mark Johnstone and Silvestre de Sousa.  Johnstone's horses are always worth a gamble up north.

Yesterday saw Invincible Army get a favourite's quote for the Diamaond Jubilee after winning the Duke of York from Major Jumbo (one of Kevin Ryan's three runners) amd Yafta third and Limato fourth.

Not so straightforward in the Musidor where 14/1 shot Nausha got yhe victory for Roger Varian and Andrea Atzeni ahead of a dead heat for second between Frankellina and Entitle.  There was only a neck between them.  Nausha could go either to the Oaks or the Diane in France which is shorter.  Frankellina will probably go to the Oaks and while this was a big improvement for Entitled, Gosden feels she isn't ready for Epsom.
