Last-start winner Autumn Assault will step-up in grade at Kranji on Sunday to Class 3 company chasing another victory over 1100m.

The Rock 'n' Pop four-year-old was back to his best in October when making his debut for the Steven Burridge stable, having transferred from the care of David Kok.

"The trick to Autumn Assault is to keep him sound," Burridge said. "He was in good shape when he came to us from David, but he needed knee surgery for his knee chips shortly after."

Benny Woodworth will take the ride on Autumn Assault and knows the gelding inside out, having ridden him for each of his eight starts when in Kok's care.

Autumn Assault was pin-hooked as a yearling by Cypress Farms from the 2017 New Zealand Bloodstock draft of Phoenix Park. He returned as a Ready To Run two-year-old later that year and was knocked down to Eternity Racing for $45,000.

He has won three of his nine starts and placed on a further three occasions and has earnt more than S$150,500 in prizemoney.
