Stakes targets for Subpoenaed

Champion trainer Chris Waller will target Queensland black-type with former Kiwi filly Subpoenaed .

The daughter of Rip Van Winkle was luckless when finishing fourth over 1400m at Randwick last Saturday and is likely to contest the Gr.3 Fred Best Classic (1350m) at Doomben on May 30.

The winner of the Fred Best Classic gains automatic entry into the Gr.1 Stradbroke Handicap (1400m) at Eagle Farm a week later.

The winner of three races and Group Three placed, Subpoenaed began her career in New Zealand with Cambridge trainer Tony Pike, for whom she was an impressive Te Rapa winner before her sale across the Tasman.
