Champion jockeys Mick Kinane, Frankie Dettori and Richard Mullen have flown from Dubai to India to take part in Sunday's Group 1 Indian Derby in Mumbai.
The Derby, contested by four-year-olds, is the most valuable race in India, worth $US200,000 to the winner.
Colm O'Donoghue and Richard Hughes are other top European jockeys with mounts in the 19-strong field.
Dettori will ride Golconda Derby winner Retribution with O'Donoghue on the favourite Bourbon King.
Bourbon King is going for his 11th succesive win, his previous victories including the Kingfisher Derby and Indian 2000 Guineas, but the last seven favourites have been beaten in the Derby.
