There was just the one meeting in Singapore over the weekend which saw nine competitive races on both the turf and Polytack.

McGregor was able to continue his strong recent form with an easy win over the 1700m in an Open Benchmark 74 on the Polytrack.

Away only fairly, Mcgregor did a bit of work early to eventually find himself outside the leader, taking over proceedings early in the straight.

Running on strongly, the Michael Clements-trained runner claimed a two length win over Northern Knight who was good after leading throughout with Battle Of Troy a further two and a half lengths away in third.

McGregor, now a seven-year-old gelding ran to a Timeform figure of 82, some seven lengths above his previous start and the highest of his 31 start career.

With Michael Rodd on board, McGregor looks to be racing in career best form of late and despite being at the ripe old age of seven, must be respected on what he has produced the last two starts.

Northern Knight was solid in second without really challenging the winner and ran a figure slightly above his previous start when midfield in a Class 4 over 1800m.

Later in the programme Dream Comes True also ran to a new career peak figure following an all the way win in an Open Benchmark 67 (1100m) on the Polytrack.

Coming into the race off a second placing in similar company the start prior, Dream Comes True was able to find the lead on this occasion and hold off Lucky Stride in second with Siam Sapphire over a length away in third.

Returning a figure of 81, Dream Comes True ran considerably higher than his previous best and with only 10 starts to his name has won four of them and is open to further improvement.

Winning three of his five outings this campaign, Dream Comes True continues to work his way through the grades and over the shorter trips is certainly worth following going forward.

The last race of the night saw Terms Of Reference return to form with a win over the well fancied Dutrow in the Class 4 over 1200m on the Polytrack with former Australian runner Buenos Aires in third.

Terms Of Reference who settled up on the speed from the wide draw, returned his highest rating in over a year and his first win since beating Splinter in a Class 4 back in June.

Dutrow would have lost no admirers in second to feature in the placings once again and run slightly below his impressive win in the Initiation two runs back.
