Bold Thruster looks hard to hold out once again when he lines up in the Class 2 over 1200m at Kranji on Friday night.

After running fifth on debut, the Shane Baertschiger-trained runner has gone on to win his three runs since, all by big margins leading all the way.

In his most recent outing he took out a Class 3 over this C/D by three and a quarter lengths when getting the better of The Capital and has since won a barrier trial over 1000m easily.

From the very handy barrier, Bold Thruster will push forward again under Barend Vorster and with just the four career starts to his name is open to further improvement.

The only time the three-year-old gelding has not won was when fifth on debut over 1100m on the Polytrack, his three wins all coming over the 1200m on turf.

Despite coming up against a fairly handy field today, Bold Thruster appears to be a horse going places and working through the grades nicely this should be another win on the way to bigger targets.

Zac Kasa has not quite been able to run up to his Group 1 Lion City Cup effort prior to a spell last preparation, a beaten favourite in both outings this campaign.

Not having a great deal of luck first up when fifth in a Kranji Stakes B, the Cliff Brown-trained runner was improved when runner up in similar company over 1100m last time out.

Zac Kasa goes back on the turf and up to 1200m for this the same conditions he ran his terrific race in the Lion City Cup.

Likely to not be far away in the run again from a middle draw, if the four-year-old gelding can run up to anything close to his best he is more than capable of returning to the winners circle.

Augustano has been building nicely this campaign and comes into the race off two placings, the most recent in the same race as Zac Kasa when third, following a second placing to Aramco in a Stakes A over this C/D.

The Lee Freedman-trained runner should be prominent from the inside draw and certainly does his best racing over the 1200m trip where three of his four wins have come albeit on the polytrack.

Having finished runner up on the turf two starts back over this trip he is more than capable under these conditions and based off his last couple of efforts is worth including.

Eagle Eye was not too far away when sixth in a Group 3 behind Nova Strike two back over a mile and despite dropping back to the 1200m now expect him to be getting to the line strongly.
