The Group 2 Chairman’s Trophy (1600m) has been rescheduled to be run on 7 April 2019 instead of 3 March 2019 as originally slated.

Following discussion with the Association of Racehorse Trainers, the Singapore Turf Club has decided to push the race back by five weeks so as to narrow down the interval between the Chairman’s Trophy and the Group 3 Moonbeam Vase (1600m) which is held on 5 May 2019, from nine weeks to four weeks.

Both feature races are considered as lead-up races to the Group 1 Kranji Mile (1600m) on 25 May 2019. With the rescheduling of the Chairman’s Trophy, the shorter lead-up time to the Moonbeam Vase will enable more adequate preparation of horses contesting the Kranji Mile.
