RACE 1

PERFECT COMMANDO (1) – Resumed with a solid fourth behind Ichigoichie in a Class 5 race over 1200m on turf 16 days ago. Should improve with that run. Can go to the front here and prove hard to run down.

INVINCIBLE MAN (2) – Better suited here back to 1100m. He’s a bit suspect at 1200m and that showed last start where he weakened the last part of the race. Good chance here with the claim.

CLARTON STAR (5) – Not disgraced in his past two runs and should run boldly in this with any luck from the middle draw.

LUCKY BOY (3) - Returned to form last start with a good second behind the heavily-backed Heavenly Hand. Kept finding the line and would expect a similar effort here.

RACE 2

YULONG EXPRESS (1) – Had two starts in New Zealand and debuts here in Singapore for Lee Freedman. Trialled like a bomb and if he can cross from the wide barrier, he’ll be in the finish.

LIM’S DREAM (2) – Was off the map when resuming and was just grabbed late by Super Smart. Blinkers off here up to 1200m so maybe they will ride him with a sit. If he gets a strong 1200m he’s the horse to beat.

QIJI FLYER (4) – Runner up behind Tax Free in a Polytrack Maiden 1100m last start. That doesn’t look the strongest of maidens but he still warrants some respect here.

DIAMOND KING (5) – Trial winner recently appears to be in good form. Competitive here.

RACE 3

SILENT FORCE (5) - On debut in Singapore. Has trialled smartly leading into this affair and the fact the stable has elected to press forward to raceday with only the benefit of the one trial must be respected. Will take beating.

GALVARINO (3) - One of the most talked about horses in Singapore. He finally put his antics to bed last start when breaking through. Has always shown ability and has the upside to continue to improve. Major player.

LIM'S KNIGHT (1) - Experienced campaigner who is well credentialled for this affair. Will appreciate the drop in grade to Class 4 and is capable of contending on best efforts. Don't dismiss.

TOOSBIES (6) - Broke maiden status in impressive fashion last start after a long run of minor placings. This assignment is tougher but remains over the same track/distance so is worth thought with a repeat dose.

RACE 4

MILITARY CHAIRMAN (3) - Yet to break through but hasn't been far from the mark in recent outings. Has always indicated he will be suited at 1600m and finds conditions to suit in this affair. Expect bold showing.

OUR SHOWCASE (1) - Steps up to a mile one month in between runs but impressed in a recent barrier trial leading in this affair. Will get back from the wide draw and appreciate a strong tempo up front. Major player.

LADY COUNSEL (7) - Showed good improvement last start. Steps back in trip marginally for this affair so she will be strong to the line. Will appreciate the services of Vlad Duric, so is worth including.

GALWAY GIRL (6) - Was held up at a vital stage of the race last start. Switches back to the turf surface where she has been more effective and is drawn to get an economical run. Don't ignore.

RACE 5

SUN MARSHAL (4) - Has recorded two minor placings in two outings since arriving in Singapore. Tries the Polytrack surface for the first time but is well suited over the journey. A progressive customer on a Derby path, so expect bold showing.

BLACK JADE (5) - Won over 1400m at long odds three runs ago and has performed creditably since stepping up in trip. Switches back to the Polytrack surface and isn't ideally drawn but is capable of fighting out the finish on best efforts.

ON ELECTRIC AVENUE (7) - Closed well over 1100m last start and will appreciate the rise in trip. Will likely settle near the rear of the field from the poor draw but can finish over the top with a genuine tempo. Don't ignore.

ABSOLUTE MIRACLE (1) - Experienced campaigner who has been tending to mix form but has recently had a change of stable. Finds a suitable affair to make amends, so don't dismiss. In the mix.

RACE 6

ZMAN (9) – Got back a long way when resuming in a Class 4 over 1200m on February 15. He ran the quickest last 400m of the race (22.74) and although beaten 4.4 lengths, the run was full of merit. Blinkers go on here from the better barrier and would expect him to be much closer in the run. Will race well.

ELISE (1) – Back to Class 4 and is only one point higher in the ratings than his most recent win. Sure to be competitive with the claim for Iskandar Rosman. Top chance.

CAMBRIDGE (4) - Much better last time and can hold form now. Gets a useful draw and Michael Rodd retains the ride – looks a great chance in an open race.

TRAPIO (10) – Showed promise last preparation and has useful form lines around Mach, Siam Vipasiri, No Fun No Gain. Put under a bit of pressure in his trials and he got a pass mark. Monitor betting for a guide.

RACE 7

ATLANTIC FOX (7) - Hasn't had a lot of luck in recent outings despite running well. Remains at the 1600m and is capable of producing his best in Class 4 grade. Expect bold showing on best efforts.

STAY THE COURSE (10) - Broke maiden status last start in impressive fashion. His last run indicated that he will relish stepping up in trip to 1600m and his recent trackwork was on-song to take the next step. Major player.

YAYA PAPAYA (1) - Has been knocking on the door in recent outings. Remains in Class 4 grade and over his ideal track/distance. Well drawn to perform so must be considered with a repeat dose on recent efforts.

CLARTON TREASURE (3) - Has been knocking on the door in recent outings. Needs luck from the draw but the decision by the stable to step him up to 1600m must be respected. Can surprise on best efforts.

RACE 8

BE BEE (1) – Classy type with a strong finish. May not have to go right back to last in this having drawn a better barrier for a change. If they run along up front he can get home over the top of these.

WEBSTER (5) – Went enormous last start in a Kranji B when he got carted off the track down the side approaching the 550m. He didn’t give up and kept finding the line. Thought it was a creditable second. Danger.

PAPARAZZI (11) – Slow away last time and gave them too big a start. Did run a slick last 400m of 22.66. If things go his way he can be quite lethal with his powerful finish.

CURVATURE (7) – First-up here and is trialling very well. Looks Group class and will give a bold sight up on the speed. May just get a bit tired the last 100m being first-up at 1400m.

RACE 9

MO ALMIGHTY (11) – Proved himself at Group level last preparation running second to Bold Thruster in the Saas Fee Stakes. Yes that was an age-restricted race and he meets older horses here, but the horse looks very smart and will be much fitter for his first-up third behind Fame Star. From a good gate here, he’ll be going close.

TRIPLE TRIO (7) – May want 1400m now but this horse attacks the line and if they go too fast up front, look for him to be powering home late.

NIMBLE (1) – Is three wins from three starts here in Singapore and has done nothing wrong. Hard to knock despite drawing the outside barrier.

MY DREAMLINER (8) – Looked impressive winning a Class 4 1000m by nearly six lengths last start. If he runs the 1200m he will be extremely hard to beat. Good race
