Updates on stewards' follow-ups to Friday and Sunday meetings

Singapore March Meeting 2019, Friday, 15 March 2019:

RACE 3 [TF0321]

On Monday, 18 March 2019, Trainer L Dragon advised that STAR EMPIRE (S John) pulled up well, however, after discussing with connections, will be given a break from racing. STAR EMPIRE will then be given a trial, and maybe a further trial, prior to racing again, so as the gelding can regain some confidence after suffering interference at its last two starts.

RACE 6 [TF0324] 

On Monday, 18 March 2019, Trainer S Baertschiger advised that O’REILLY’S DANCER (M Kellady) pulled up well, and attributed the performance to the gelding not handling being stepped up in distance to 2000m, on a twelve day back up from it’s last start. He will continue with its current preparation.  

RACE 7 [TF0325] 

On Monday, 18 March 2019, Trainer C Brown advised that ARARAT LADY (M Rodd) pulled up well, attributing the performance to the filly overracing, and will continue with the current preparation.

SUNDAY, 17 MARCH 2019: 

RACE 1 [TF342] 

A veterinary examination on Monday, 18 March 2019 revealed that SATELLITE STAR (B Thompson) had returned lame near (left) fore.  It will be required to pass a 1000m gallop trial and a veterinary examination prior to being declared to race again. 

RACE 2 [TF0343]  

On Monday, 18 March 2019, Trainer J O’Hara advised that DIAMOND KING (TH Koh) had pulled up well, adding that as the gelding is only one paced, suffering interference at the start impacted on it’s performance. He will continue on with the DIAMOND KING’s current preparation.  

RACE 3 [TF0344] 

On Monday, 18 March 2019, Ms Jacqueline Detert, Trainer R Le Grange’s B Trainer, advised that TOOSBIES (C Murray) had pulled up well and that the stable was not overly disappointed in the performance due to a number of factors, including that TOOSBIES was up in class. They will continue on with the current preparation and are of the opinion that the gelding will continue to improve with further racing. 

RACE 5 [TF346] 

A veterinary examination on Monday, 18 March 2019 revealed that ON ELECTRIC AVENUE (J Powell) had returned lame off (right) fore.  It will be required to pass a 1000m gallop trial and a veterinary examination prior to being declared to race again.  

RACE 6 [TF0347] 

On Monday, 18 March 2019, Mr Zairi Bin Othman, Trainer J Peters’ B Trainer, advised that YULONG FAST STEED (C Murray) had pulled up well, and attributed the performance to the entire overracing with the slow tempo. They will continue with its current preparation.   

RACE 7 [TF0348]

 On Monday, 18 March 2019, Trainer L Khoo advised that YAYA PAPAYA (B Thompson) had returned lame near (left) fore.  It will be required to pass a 1000m gallop trial and a veterinary examination prior to being declared to race again.   

RACE 8 [TF0349] 

On Monday, 18 March 2019, Trainer S Baertschiger advised that BE BEE (J Powell) pulled up well, and attributed the performance to the gelding not performing best when racing amongst other runners. He will continue with its current preparation.  

RACE 8 [TF349] 

A veterinary examination on Monday, 18 March 2019 revealed that POSEIDON (App A Syahir) had returned lame off (right) fore. It will be required to pass a 1000m gallop trial and a veterinary examination prior to being declared to race again.
