A veterinary examination on Saturday, 13 April 2019 revealed that STAR MERCURY (R Woodworth) had returned lame near (left) fore. It will be required to pass a 1000m gallop trial and a veterinary examination prior to being declared to race again.

A veterinary examination on Saturday, 13 April 2019 revealed that PRINCE FERDINAND (M Zaki) had returned lame off (right) fore. It will be required to pass a 1000m gallop trial and a veterinary examination prior to being declared to race again.

On Monday, 15 April 2019, Trainer S Baertschiger advised that LONGHU (J Powell) pulled up well, and attributed the performance to the gelding suffering interference near the 800m and not being able to obtain a leading position, where it performs best. He will continue with its current preparation.

On Monday, 15 April 2019, Trainer C Brown subsequently advised that GOLD REWARD (M Rodd) had pulled up well and will continue with its preparation.
